Stayed Nov 12, 2016Nice house with good views over the Rio Chillar and Higueron, both close enough to walk comfortably in half a day (for each not both), the ravine at Frigiliana especially impressive, and if you are fit enough (not us) you can continue up to the Fuente del Esparto. If you are going up the Chillar wear old shoes or wellies as a lot of the walk is through water. House well equipped and comfortable, only disapointment was no general stuff like cling film or tin foil but this was a minor inconvenience. Reasonable walk into Nerja, either by the roads or by going down to the Chillar walk and heading into town. There are also good walks to be had in the El Pinarillo nature area near the caves. Front terrace gets the late afternoon and evening sun, well in November anyway, rear patio was more in shadow but then again it was November. All in all very enjoyable week, only real disappointment was that the bar in the urbanisation closed on Tuesday without warning whilst the owners disappeared to London on holiday but that is obviously nothing to do with Casa Chillout. If you go out for a drink in Nerja the bars to the south near Play De la Torrecilla are cheaper, and if you don't take much salt in your food be carefull what you order, the usually served potatoes can be very salty. The caves are also within a good walk (about 5 K) and well worth a visit. Would return here again in Febuary next year but someone else has got in before us.
