Love the place, it was our 2nd year at this house.

Wonderful house! Beautiful views! Hurricane Erin showed up, but this house not on ocean island.. got lucky! No evacuation..just spitting rain off and on and wind... didnt dampen our fun! You willsurely enjoy this house. Nuce neighborhood and pool is great.

Nice place. Very convenient to shopping, restaurants, and the beach. Great view. Host was responsive and helpful.

I really loved the house, location and the views. My family of 10 enjoyed crabbing off the dock and the hot tub. There were a few things like the down stairs bedrooms had some dirty walls from smashed bugs on the walls from prior guests. Also, the double doors on main floor didn’t work easily so couldn’t use . The large bedroom door on main floor didn’t lock from outside. If you want to prepare meals in, bring your own pans, and sharp paring knives. Other than that, the house was beautiful and everyone loved the bed mattress. Will definitely stay there again.

It was very difficult to review because the house was great, a few things were outdated but fair, the location was perfect and the neighbors seem respectful, but..... all the locks in the back of the house had issues, It took a little trickery to lock them and one of them wouldn't lock at all. The owners were very polite and responded in a timely manner and said the parts are on order. That's it. I would have, at the very least, bought a cheap lock in the meantime for security purposes but I guess it wasn't that important. I'm not a fan of leaving or sleeping at night with an unlock door. I understand it's a gated community but not all short-term renters are honest. I put a windchime on the door handle and kept my oxygen concentrator off at night so we can hear it for peace of mind. Even after i told them that i got an apology and that's it, and for that I give it 2 stars.

This was great home with everything that you needed. Our family really enjoyed the home and the open layout. The hot tub was a hit for our son and family. Manteo was a pleasure to visit with many many restaurants and bars and grills to choose.

The pictures look a lot better than the actual house. Do not get your hopes up. We walked into a very damp, wet smelling house. Water bugs on the floor, nasty stained pillows and beds. The whole place needs paint and carpet terribly bad. The carpets are in very rough shape, stained and smell. There was a window AC unit in the upstairs and the humidity level was 97-98% still. It is easy to see they have water damage/leaks and are still too lazy to fix it. It is very dated, not well cared for which is a shame because the location is great. After telling the owner we were not satisfied and would not be staying, he still insist he can make it right and tried to say that the humidity and dampness was because of the rain and normal (it’s not). Now I have lost the money for a place we didn’t even stay in because the owner insist in telling us we are wrong and what we saw and described isn’t accurate. Overall very disappointed and wouldn’t recommend this house at all. Luckily we had friends and family who had other places rented and made the best of it this past week.

We (family of 8) had a great time at this house. Location was just so relaxing and enjoyable. The house has everything you need to have an enjoyable OBX trip. We would certainly go back! One thing that left me concerned for the owners is that the cleaning crew may not be on their A-game. There was a bar of soap left in the shower, some food left in the pantry/freezer, there were several surfaces with a layer of dust, and the dishes needed to be washed again. This did not finish our enjoyment and I really don't have the words to explain how at home we felt. Thanks for a great week!

What a great house five of us stayed here for a fishing adventure it went wonderful. The house is amazing views all the beds were in good shape and it was clean. I would rent this house again. The host was also extra great at his job. Thanks Brent from Virginia

Great location and neighborhood. Older home but had all the amenities needed. Clean and well stocked.
