Nags Head Ocean Cottage Sleeps 8 Pet Friendly - Semi Oceanfront

Positives: The vast majority of the inside of the house is nice. Beautiful view from deck. Property is close to ocean. Negatives: Conflicting description of amenities and checkout info in emails vs Expedia website. Owners had poor responsiveness to communications. No toilet paper provided. Towels to our property and I believe the adjacent property left in our dryer. Pictures of property are outdated. A couple jets in hot tub don’t work. Inside shower terrible. Outside shower exists but is surrounded by sand and barely works.

We had a good time visiting the Outer Banks. As for the house and location were okay. The deck was not in the best condition. The gate on the deck would not stay shut and there were missing deck rail spindles. Certainly not safe by any means. The deck was full of sand. There were no door mats to trap the sand from getting in the house. There was not access to the hot tub due to the amount of sand in the area. As for the hostess, she was very nice in the beginning but when we got home I had several emails from her. I found her emails to be upsetting. She accused us of leaving the house a disaster. I found this to be offensive she accused us several things that we didnt do. Instead, of being kind, she want into a full rage. We didnt leave the house a disaster.We left the house as we found it, less the sand in the carpets. We vacuumed the rugs before we left. We cannot help the sand from getting in the carpets. I told her that she should invest in door mats. What she should of instead going ballistic. She should have asked me about the so called damage. She was a total _ _ _ __. She needs to understand that there is a thing called the cost to do business with a rental property.

The inside is a comfortable beach cottage, perfect for families. The deck needs a safety inspection…Multiple missing railings, the entire front of deck, facing the ocean, is coming unattached from the support rails. Several deck boards loose/up. Owner was notified and asked for pics but never responded after receiving photos. Not worth the risk until repaired.

Very close to beach/ocean. Enjoyed walking on the beach and listening to the peaceful sound of the waves. Restaurants and shopping are only a short drive away. Fully equipped cottage. Clean but slightly dated. Relaxing hot tub. Nice that pets are welcome. Great for a family getaway.

Fine no tv till Wednesday but was fixed towel rack very loose in bedroom bath and no rack in main bathroom could use safety bar in tube room
