unhappy with the house as a whole
Very angry I paid what we did for this. It looked like someone bought a house near the beach on the cheap, did the slightly-less-than bare minimum and said, let's rent this slum to unsuspecting vacationers. Dirty dishes in cabinets. Walls all over scuffed and dirty. Paint all over the trim work. Drywall patches that were not sanded or painted. Had holes in walls, peeling and cracking paint. No blankets/comforters on bed or in unit. Had to call and ask for some. Arrived next day. Mismatched furniture all over. Not eclectic and cute, but tacky. Worst mattress I've ever slept on, and that's saying a lot since we often camp. Beds were noisy, old, squishy. Never slept past 6:30 am, even on a rainy vacation day due to discomfort. Toilet was so small and low to the ground one group member couldn't even use it. I usually trust VRBO and I've rented several times but this was extremely disappointing and I've lost trust. Never had as bad an experience as this. Homeowner should be embarrassed but I guess since it's booked all summer, they don't care while they count their cash. These charges are disgusting disproportionate to what you are getting. These owners are scammers.
