MyStay at 14 Laughing Gull – Premier Oceanfront Estate in Sea Pines

We had 17 people.. the house accommodated everyone.. the house is a bit tired and could use some TLC..

Stayed for the Thanksgiving holiday with my extended family of 15. Communication with the host was easy, the house was in excellent condition and the location right on the beautiful beach was a huge bonus. The house is huge but a funky layout. Only 6 of the bedrooms have bathrooms, because the master suite has 2 full Bathrooms. Would definitely suggest this house. Loved our stay.

This beach house was a beautiful home. All beds were comfortable bathrooms all worked well. The only issue was the beach access was a very difficult way for anyone to get to the beach because their access was closed and we had to go to the side, which was never stated in the Description it says ocean front beach home !! very difficult to carry things to the beach for the family when you’re paying a price for oceanfront Beach Home !!!you want it to be an oceanfront beach home? That’s why I had to give it a four but all in all we had the hurricane and everyone ran home to New Jersey.

Stunning property! Beautiful setting. Decorated very nice. Easy Beach access. Owner provided many beach chairs and umbrellas. We had our family together in luxury for the week. Would recommend this property

The house manager, Jackson, was excellent. He addressed issues immediately! The house had an intense incense odor especially upstairs in the blue, orange and office/bedroom. We bought plug ins to eliminate the odor. It never disappeared in the office/back bedroom. The nanny had to sleep in the bunk bed room and the kids slept in their parents room. The house does have 7 bathrooms and 1 half bath but two of them are in the master suite. So the bedroom behind the office would have to share a bathroom. If you want in suite bathrooms then the house has sleeping for 12 people which includes 4 kids in the bunk bed room. In the mother in law suite can sleep another 3. There is a pull out sofa. So a total of 15 people. If you don’t care about sharing a full bathroom, then the house can sleep 17 people. The bedroom behind the office is a queen size bed. With all of the above being said, we had a fantastic time. The house was wonderful with the screen in porch. Plenty of pool and beach toys. The pool was lovely with enough seating for everyone. Make sure to rent bikes for your stay.

The house was great and perfect for multiple families. There were a few small hiccups such as trash pick not happening the day it was supposed to so it still had the other guest’s trash and we ran out of room for ours but the response was almost immediate and the trash was picked up within less than an hour of us messaging! The area was also great. We had a group of 15 for reference and we all had plenty of room!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The place was amazing. We had a crew of 18 and had plenty of room. Location was perfect, its like we had our own private beach. The kids bounced around from the pool to the beach all day long. Property management was outstanding and answered any questions we had.... Just an all around fantastic experience.

The only thing I would change is the bunk room mattresses were very uncomfortable for most of guests unless you are a small child. Also having more board games available would be nice. There is plenty of room to spread out, but also get together in the dining room and family room. Having the screen porch as you point of entry significantly reduced the sand we brought back into the house. The kitchen had everything you need, beach towels and chairs were included and having 2 washer and dryers, 2 ice makers and several refrigerators (including the private suite) was great. The one area of disappointment was the ease of using the televisions, with each one seemingly needing a different manner to get it going. I suggest you simplify this setup. We appreciated the opportunity to stay at such a beautiful home, thank you!
