Hazelhurst, Wisconsin
Vintage Northern Wisconsin lake home, built in the 1940's, with gorgeous view of pristine 40 acre lake nestled in the heart of Wisconsin's northwoods. We are located approximately 9 miles south of Minocqua and 3 miles from the BearSkin bike trail in Hazelhurst. The town road we are on is an approved ATV route and you can easily ride to The Lynne/Little Rice ATV Trail system located in southwestern Oneida County. The classic house sits on a slight hill overlooking beautiful Silver Lake, which is a no-wake lake. The property is nicely wooded and the house is surrounded with tall pine trees. You will enjoy many opportunities to enjoy nature at MY T Pine Acres. Deer are frequently seen passing through our property. You will also see a variety of summer songbirds; ducks swimming on the lake, eagles flying over head and loons swimming by and that will call late into the evening. You might even see a turkey. The lake has a clear sand bottom swim area and a natural sand/grass shoreline. Take advantage of the sunshine on our large Otter Island resin swim raft. Enjoy the sparkling clear water of the lake while relaxing in the sun, sitting on one of two piers available for use. If you love to fish this rental includes a rowboat. There is also an old-fashioned paddleboat and a canoe available to use. Silver lake is plentiful in bass, pan fish, perch and northern. Because this is a no-wake lake, you will not hear any loud motorized watercraft, which makes the lake very peaceful. The lake house has two bedrooms. The master bedroom is large and has a queen-size bed and is connected to a knotty pine sun porch. The master bedroom also includes a TV with remote - local channels only. The sun porch is decorated with rattan furniture and has a ceiling fan/light. It also has a twin size bed and stores a twin size roll a way. The sun porch is surrounded by windows so you have a nice view of the lake. The second bedroom has a full size bed, small dresser and closet.. There is one full size bathroom with a shower over the tub. The eat-in kitchen has the original hand crafted knotty pine cabinets and is equipped with pots, pans, plates, utensils, dish cloths, coffee maker, microwave and toaster. The kitchen has a ceiling fan/light over the kitchen table. Kick back and relax in the living room, read a book or watch TV (local channels only) or a movie on the DVD player. The living room is surrounded by windows that give you a great view of Silver Lake. The living room contains a desk and chair, full size sofa, recliner and glider chair along with a 32 inch TV. Outside there is a picnic table area and charcoal grill if you choose to BBQ. There is also a fire pit that overlooks the lake. The lake area and fire pit are a common shared area between this Lake House and another onsite rental property. Both piers, raft, sundeck, canoe, Kayak and paddleboat are available for both rental properties to enjoy. This place would appeal to families looking for a lake vacation or adults looking for a home base to explore the area. It's comfortable old-school in the best possible way.
Very nice. Son - in - law could not split firewood ... maybe wet? Hill a llittle steeper than the old man anticipated....but good steps and hand rail.
We loved staying in the Lakeside House. Norma provided lots of fun little touches and the house was very clean and well maintained. There were nice roads right around there for biking and it's just 3 miles to the Bearskin Trail.
Very nice accommodations. Well kept and owner is friendly and helpful. Lots to do for all ages in Minocqua.
The cabin, scenery, and activities close by make this a great place to stay. Loved the lake house, especially when this was the first time ever doing a rental. Would definitely do it again. Thank you Norma and Warren for this beautiful property.
Cute and clean cabin and beautiful Great stay!!!
Given the photos, we were expecting a more updated interior. It was definitely a vintage lake cottage; while it was basically clean, we probably would not opt to stay again in a property of this age, particularly given Covid. We were glad we brought our own bedding, uncertain about age, cleanliness of mattresses which were quite soft. We perhaps were not as aware as we should have been of the property we were renting.
Nice location and restful rustic cabin on verynice lake.
Very clean cabin on a very peaceful quiet lake! Owners are very nice and enjoyable to talk with! Had to evening meals of bluegills and crappies! Grandchildren had a blast! Enjoyed Spending time with our neighbors from Chicago area!!! Recommend if you’re looking for a quiet lake to just sit and relax with no masks!!!!! You can breathe in the fresh air and watch the loons and the bald eagles fly by!
Cute quiet cabin right on the lake. We couldn't have asked for a better location. Check in was easy, the cabin was clean and ready. They had the row boat, paddle boat, and canoe ready for us to go out on the lake. The location was just far enough away from town that you felt out there, but a quick drive if you forgot something at the store. We saw lots of wildlife including a porcupine! We will be back again.
