Orderville, Utah
Located at Mt. Carmel Junction.
This home is located in a prime location for exploring S. Utah. Directly east of Zion National Park lies East Zion, an area replete with breathtaking natural wonders and amenities. The charming and breathtakingly colorful town of Mt. Carmel offers many of the same amenities found in other areas of East Zion, such as guided ATV tours, horseback riding, marked and unmarked hiking trails, and slot canyons galore. One of the most exciting tourist attractions in this little town, however, is the Maynard Dixon Gallery, or the Thunderbird Foundation for the Arts, just 13 miles from Zion’s east entrance. Maynard Dixon, a famous artist accredited with finding a new form of expression for the West, moved to Mt. Carmel in 1938 where he built his home and studio.

Great communication and very understanding when helping us out with our rental issue. Cute home, close to Bryce and Zion. Kids loved it!
Cobwebs, bad odors, lack of instructions for operating tv, dirty pans in kitchen. It was convenient to parks but that was main plus.
We stayed 20 miniute, then turned around and went home. There was a terrible odor in the house, that hit us the minute we walked in. No screens on the window, so couldn't even air it out. On one side of the house, there was a shop and people working on cars. On the other side was a house with children very close to the fence. Then there was the back view. You could not see the mountain like pictured. There was an old motorhome and trailer. I had envisioned; sitting the back yard, listening to sound of the river and looking at the mountain. The yard was nice and enclosed nicely. Then there was the location; which was not in Orderville. The direction were terrible. As it turned out, the house was practically at Mt. Carmel Junction, maybe 70 yards up the road. Simple directions like right across from RV sales would have made it easy. The highlight of the whole trip was going through Zions National Park to get there. I might add that the two screen doors had screens; however, they were ripped and torn, bugs in the sunroom. There is a lot of traffic at this junction, especially being the 4th of July. Once I entered the house, it immediately struck me as funny, that we were asked to not wear shoes in the house. When I opened the front door, the first thing I noticed was a large spot on the carpet, then the smell. Everything inside looked clean except for handles on the interior doors. Maybe it's just me, but there something about dirty nobs and handles that is unsanitary.
The location, communication and check in process are awesome. I hope there are games boards for kids to play. The property is close by highway so it can be noisy when car pass by, but it’s not a big problem for me. The stay is quite comfortable.
Absolutely nightmare of an experience! We booked the property for 6 days during the Christmas week. We had such a horrible stay that we vacated the house by day 3. The carpets are very filthy and infested with mites. Entire house feels dusty...the blankets were unwashed..something is off about those bedrooms..bedbugs?. Our son had rashes/hives everyday for 2 days whenever he played with his toys on the carpet/slept on the bed. We had to make an urgent trip to ER on the night of Christmas! Nearest ER is about 20 mins away. The vrbo guys and the owners expect you to trust them with cleanliness and hygiene and betray us with their crazy rules of complaining within 24 hrs of check-in when even the doctors at the ER were not sure of what caused the allergic reactions. The owner seemed careless about the situation when questioned (same is VRBO customer support) and absolutely no shame as they had got their money and we were out of the property already. We had to cut short our trip and travel all the way back to New England by spending additional $2k due to this unkept house.
Pretty good communication and check in process. The stay was quite comfortable
This property is in a fantastic location, with easy access to Zion NP, Bryce Canyon NP, and Kanab. The house is older and fairly well maintained, but there is a significant ant issue in the kitchen. When we stayed, the yard (including the firepit and grill) was completely torn up and unusable (not at all what is pictured) and there was landscaping construction going on during our stay (construction workers arrived at 6:00am on the first morning of our stay with no prior notification from property managers). Unfortunately when issues did arise during our stay, property management was unresponsive to calls, texts, VRBO messages, emails. Hopefully some of the issues we encountered will be resolved soon, but this was our experience.
Not sure how it happened, but the address we were given was different than the address of the actual house. We were sent an address and then on the website link that the owner sent us was the correct address. It was 11pm and very difficult to find the house. If the owner had a map that showed exactly where the house was this wouldn't have been a problem. Also, the towels were not prepared and were all still in the dryer.
What a nice house! It was bigger than I expected and had a bunch of amenities that they should be advertising. Such as a fully fenced backyard and the house sits right next to an awesome little river. Great location for our trips to Bryce and Zion.
Great place to stay while visiting Zion, Bryce and N Arizona attractions. House clean and well supplied.
This property could use a better cleaning...beds were good so was bath but neglected elsewhere. Screen door was broke and screen knocked out also the windows on screened porch the screens need replaced couldn't open windows the screens were disintegrated. empty bugs out of bathroom lights
