Our family was comfortable in this home. It still needs some upgrades. There's only 1 loveseat in the living area. Not enough seats for a family to watch tv. There were used towels left in the hallway and we had to get supplies out of the attic .
The house is a charming old house nestled in. a small community. It was perfect! Huge screened in porch to enjoy the weather.
We visited in late December with our dog and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Farmhouse. House is located in valley between beautiful mountains. The home has been restored to form and has also been updated with new bathroom and kitchen fixtures and appliances. The layout is spacious with three large bedrooms and a living room with leather couches and large Roku TV. Bed we used was comfortable. All rooms and linens very clean. House is conveniently located close to I-59 yet far enough away to hear too much noise; outside of sporadic trains passing through valley tracks. Neighborhood is peaceful and mostly quiet. There are plenty of restaurants, grocery and convenience store options in nearby town of Trenton. Great place to stay if you are passing through or want to visit close attractions such as Cloudland Canyon, Ruby Falls, Rock City or Chattanooga. Host responsive and check-in and out seamless. We would stay again and highly recommend!
We were very grateful to find this listing on VRBO because it had enough beds for our group of 6 and also allowed pets! Very peaceful location close to Cloudland Canyon where we hiked to the waterfalls. We also enjoyed preparing and eating an early Thanksgiving meal with our daughters and their husbands.
What a charming old house. Quiet, clean and very comfortable. If your looking for nite life and activities, this is not the place for you. If you are looking for laid back, quaint and simple but very comfortable this place is perfect. Beds were comfortable, updated bathroom kitchen appointed with retro but modern appliances. Great stay fir the price.
Overall the property was everything the site said. We enjoyed the nostalgia. Appreciated the hands off approach to decorating/ renovating. Kitchen and bathroom supplies were adequate. There were a few areas where I our opinions improvement could be made. One of the comforters had a bad smell. There was a sizable hole n the floor in a bedroom. Outside the covering over the opening to the underside of the house was positioned so that critters of a larger size could go in. Overall it was a wonderful experience. We especially enjoyed our evening meal at the cornerstone restaurant where Miss Penny regaled us with local stories. Even the repeated sound of the train during the night was an enjoyable part of our experience.
The house was an adorable old little home. It was a short drive to Chattanooga and a couple little towns, as well as Lookout Mountain and Cloudland Canyon, but the house itself is surrounded by nothing lol
The property was nice and clean. We had all the amenities that we needed for our stay. The yard was large and allowed us to play with our dogs. Neighbors were quiet but there are train tracks across the road and it ran through about 4 times a night. Overall we enjoyed our stay and the location of the house was great.
Perfect house for traveling with children. We were happy to find basic spices at the house as we forgot ours. The children loved the house and treated it like they had stepped back in time. It was great!
Cute kitchen with a vintage looking fridge and microwave. The lemon bundt cake was a pleasant surpise which we all enjoyed. Thankful for the full size fridge on the back screened in porch. We could have used a larger frying pan, but other than that, we had everything we needed for our stay. You could walk barefoot to the bathroom and back to the bedroom with out having to dust off your feet before crawling back into bed. The sheets were so soft, they were the subject of conversation the next day. The bed was quite comfortable. It was simply and sparsely furnished. We spent a lot of time on the back porch overlooking the meadow and listening to the birds when we were not out exploring Chattanooga. Thank you for letting us stay in your lovely old home. We would choose the charm of this home over new construction any day.
Very accommodating!
