Mountain-view retreat with amazing views of Palm Desert city lights & pool

While the weather was a little too cool to enjoy the pool (December), we did sit outside during the day and in the mornings to enjoy the views and the sunshine. The house is very private and quiet perched atop the backdrop of El Paseo. Although a five minute drive to the bottom where the main streets are, it was very easy to get to and from the shopping area. Warning the drive up and down is a little scary with a winding, room for one car road. If you know to expect it then you will be fine. There is not a lot of traffic since there are very few houses on the road. My only negative is the kitchen is a bit small if you are looking to cook and make a more than simple meal. The layout is awesome with two master suites on each side of the house giving ultimate privacy for guests. Great main area of the house to hang out and enjoy the views. Really fabulous views! Super relaxing!

The agent communication was sterile and impersonal. Regardless, the property was outstanding. It’s extremely private and may not be for everyone because of its isolation.My wife and I would not hesitate to return to this location.

Overall wonderful property, house, pool, view, etc. Landscapers came from 12-2pm using blowers which made a huge dust mess. This was a few hours after the pool man just came to clean the pool. We were unable to use the pool/outside during the most ideal time of day. I would have appreciated landscaping coming after we had checked out the following day or in the morning when we would not be using the pool and yard.

Warm nights, amazing view.

This property is a fine house for four people (two couples), as it is a two bedroom home with two king beds. The decor is very well done, and the setting and the view are magnificent. The place was spotless, but some minor shortcomings were the presence of only one half-box of Kleenex for the entire house, and a limited supply of toilet paper. The shower control knobs in the main bathroom are wonky and need to be replaced. Also, it should be noted that the access to the house involves a quarter mile of steep and winding single lane road, with several blind curves and only a few turnouts. It can be hair-raising to maneuver if you meet another car, and good luck if you are phobic about mountain roads without guardrails! My major complaint is being expected to pay $100 a day extra for having the pool and spa heated. This is an offensive surcharge that should be built into the price of what is a high-end rental. Just budget for the cost of utilities in the price that gets posted. What will be next - a surcharge for water and electricity?

Can’t beat the view, location is only about 8 mins from El Paseo, so very convenient. Can’t recommend this place enough. Hopefully will be back for a third stay soon.

Great property. It had everything we needed. The pool and the house were wonderful and the check in process was easy. We hope to be back soon!

Beautiful home, very private, exceptional view!

I've stayed here a few times because it's so amazing. It's become my new favorite destination and have actually been planning trips around when I can go to this house. Perfectly private but so close to incredible bars and restaurants. Clean and luxurious. INCREDIBLE view.

Best, most beautiful place in the entire world. Wish I could live here. Gorgeous pool, stunning views, zen atmosphere. Incredibly private but then only 5 minutes to El Paseo. It's the best of all worlds. Book it, you won't regret it.
