There are few pros about this house. It could be a great place to vacation but it needs so much work. As far as pros, the dog kennel was the thing we appreciated most. The layout is good, several beds, and the ping pong table and foosball were great for kids. The hot tub worked well and was enjoyed by our entire family. We were incredibly frustrated with the broken furniture and uncleanliness. The Dining room table was very wobbly, fearful it was going to fall apart if bumped, one chair had no arm rest and another had a wiggly back, and the living room sectional didn’t work. The seats didn’t recline and one end wasn’t even connected to the rest. The dishes in the kitchen were not cleaned properly. One bowl had a large piece of lettuce stuck on it. There’s no excuse for that! The pans were not suitable for cooking and we were told by Vacasa that there wasn’t a Keurig so we didn’t bring those supplies when there actually was a Keurig. Maddening! As far as cleanliness, the house smelled bad the moment we stepped in. By the time we left the basement smelled like something died and with the mouse poop in the laundry room cupboard, we guessed a mouse had died. The cobwebs on the light fixtures were disgusting, obvious the house hadn’t had a deep cleaning in months, and I had to wipe off the house instruction book before even opening it as it had dried scum on it. To say we were very disappointed is an understatement. The book mentioned the house being purchased in August and to be patient as updates were coming. We understand BUT if it’s not acceptable then don’t make it available to rent. Make the updates (paint the walls properly, clean thoroughly, fix broken furniture, offer acceptable kitchen plates/skillets/pans, and eliminate the awful smell) and THEN allow it be rented. We would never return or suggest this place to anyone in the condition we found it.
We had a great experience , the home was beautiful and very spacious . However, there were a few unexpected things that should have been fixed or disclosures prior to our visit ⁃ Broken door nob on door leading to outside area on second floor- this was a security concerned since the door could not be locked and left us exposed ⁃ The fridge does not dispense water nor ice we were counting with this to be part of the offered things ⁃ The ceiling light does not work in one of the upstairs bedrooms. Same for the upstairs landing area it was very hard to see after 5pm ⁃ Not enough shampoo or paper towels for the amount of people ⁃ TV in the main room does not work it was missing a conector cable Also… - The BBQ was filthy without cleaning tools available
This is a beautiful home. We spent the weekend at the property and it was very comfortable. There were six of us and room for many more. Our group enjoyed making meals, playing ping pong, hiking and the breathtaking views. Be prepared for the rough roads the last portion of your drive.
This home is truly remote…recommend a 4wheel drive vehicle to access the home, but still accessible without. The home was everything advertised and more. The home is spacious with tall, sprawling ceilings and it’s filled with everything you need to have a comfortable stay. It was an ideal home away from home. The beds were all comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped, and the game and media rooms further provided fun and relaxation. Added bonuses were the completely enclosed, covered dog area and the unobstructed view of the stars at night. We needed some assistance during our stay and the Vacasa team had it addressed and resolved in less than a day! Needless to say, we were impressed! The only issue we had…which was truly not that big of a deal…was the moths in the home at the beginning of our stay. Overall, this home is truly a gem!! I highly recommend it for runners/hikers as there were trailheads within walking distance from our front door. My husband, an ultra and trail runner, and my son, a collegiate CC/track runner, was in heaven! After adapting to the altitude for a few days…the home is at 11,515’ elevation…he was challenged by running up and down the gravel roads leading to our home. In addition,
Very clea, nice, and perfect distance to the mountains!
