Mountain Island Lake Lodge: Private Dock, Kayaks, Paddle Boards, Family Fun!

We had a wonderful week at Mountain Island Lake Lodge! Meredith is very easy to work with and the house is very clean and inviting. It’s perfect for 3 couples or a family!

The house was well stocked with essentials and everything was easy to locate or had handy labels to help! The layout was perfect for two families with kids who could share a sleeping space. The beds were comfortable, great water pressure and the location was great. Getting what you needed was no more than 10-15 minutes away but once you were back at the cabin it felt like you were far away from city life. Hanging out by the lake and fire pit was just what we needed!

We come to this property annually and have been doing so for the last two years. The host is amazing, and provides us with quick communication and responses. This property is well stocked and immaculate! The beds are so comfortable and the pillows are perfect. We will continue to come to this property, not only because of the beautiful location, but because of this host and how well she keeps her property.

We host a small group of teenagers and they loved their time in the lake. This is the place to be!!

I absolutely loved my stay at this charming cabin! From the moment I arrived, I felt like I had stepped into a storybook. The cabin is incredibly cute—thoughtfully decorated with rustic touches that make it feel warm, welcoming, and full of character. The owner is super communicative. One of the highlights was definitely the bed—it was so comfortable! The mattress was just the right mix of soft and supportive, and the linens were high-quality and plush. After a day of exploring or relaxing by the fire, sinking into that bed felt like pure heaven. I slept better than I have in ages.The whole space is perfect for a peaceful retreat. Every detail, from the cozy lighting to the inviting furniture, was clearly chosen with care. Whether you're cuddled up with a book or enjoying your morning coffee by the window, it just feels like home.If you’re looking for a quiet, comfy, and downright adorable place to unwind, this cabin is a true gem. I’m already dreaming about my next stay!

Girlfriends weekend. Weather wasn’t great so we couldn’t go outside much. Neighborhood wasn’t great but it was fine overall.

3 couples came down for the World of Outlaws National Finals. The house was perfect for our group to enjoy the outdoor space and a quick 25 minute drive to the track. Accommodations were perfect for 3 couples! Thank you Meredith and Bryan

My family and I enjoyed our stay. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to have all our meals at the house. Everything was clean and comfortable with plenty of space for everyone. The neighboring houses and docks were very close, but it was a quiet neighborhood and a very quiet cove on the lake. We loved having kayaks for everyone and paddled daily. This was our first time visiting a lake in this area so I will mention if you are used to the lakes in New England, it’s very different. The water is warm and murky so my kids enjoyed floating and fishing, but didn’t swim much. The location was super convenient to a lot of stores and a quick ride from the airport. Overall, it was a relaxing week.

We visited with our two teens and two babies and it was perfect for everyone! The house was clean and beautiful and my teens loved the lake life for the week! We would definitely visit again!

Definitely would recommend. All 3 generations wore very happy. Beautiful cabin , house well equipped and outdoor activities for everyone. My 7 year old granddaughter was in heaven . Great place to get away to relax while having some fun. Good work out walking up from lake to the cabin. Close enough to stores and restaurants and 1/2 hr to beautiful Charlotte

This house was absolutely perfect for us. All of the water toys were in great condition. It had a beautiful view, the house was clean, The communication was clear, and it was very well equipped. I would definitely stay there again. Thank you!

This was a great vacation at a quiet, clean and comfortable house on the lake. We had everything we needed at the house to enjoy our stay. Plenty of space, cooking and dining utensils, outdoor activities and entertainment. Hosts were very easy to communicate with and made sure everything was ready as promised. A must stay if you are in the Charlotte area.
