Over all it was good. There was no wifi as promised cable was cut. My son inlaw is a computer wiz and found it was out of service. Laundry room floor all torn up vinyl my wife tripped over the open pieces when putting a load in the washing machine. I am partners in a management company in College Park Maryland called College Living. We manage over 85 properties I am the Director of Facilities.

While we enjoyed our stay, the house had a number of things wrong with it.1. The freezer in the kitchen would not keep things frozen. It was full of water and leaking everywhere when we first arrived, which delayed our day taking care of that. We couldn't keep any frozen food in that freezer, or it would thaw out. We contacted the property management, but you can only text them and they didn't seem too concerned and no one was sent to come look at it.2. The humidifier downstairs was full, and we had to empty it. It fills up quickly and there is no mention that you should be emptying it daily.3. The basement had a musty smell to it.4. The dryer vent let out in the basement bathroom, and the vent kept falling off the wall.5. The smoke alarm in the basement bedroom started going off randomly and we needed to take it down for the remainder of our stay.6. The dishwasher was clean, but the dishes weren't unloaded when we arrived. I've stayed in numerous rental properties, and this has never happened before. So, while dealing with the freezer leaking, we also had to unload the dishwasher. We never reached back out after mentioning the freezer was leaking, we felt it would've been pointless considering they didn't seem to care about the freezer. For the price, I'd think the rental and rental company would've been better. I hate complaining but my whole family agreed that some of these things needed to be mentioned.

The home is in a great location. The house itself has a lot of issues. Mold/mildew smell in the basement prevented us from using the basement at all. A lot of small issues with the house in general.

Upon arrival we realized the listing is misleading. The dock is not at the house. It is down the street and down a sketchy path. My mother in law could not make it down so we had to drive to the Aquatic Center so she could enjoy the boat with the rest of the family. That was a pain!As for the house: there was not enough pillows for the amount of beds. The showers had no water pressure at all!! Imagine someone spitting on you and thats what you get. The comforters on the beds had some questionable stains. The dishes were covered in dust and had to be washed prior to using. We did enjoy seeing the bears and deer from the deck! We had a great family vacation and made do with what we had but won’t be staying there again!

House nice, but some issues. Could of been cleaner. Alot of the dishes were put away dirty, had to wash alot before we used them. Low water pressure in 2 out of 3 showers. Septic tank overflowed from all the rain. Man came and fixed right away. But over allwe did have a great time.

We were having issues with the fridge maintaining temperatures. The frozen food we had purchased all thawed, the ice cream melted. We contacted the host about this, and other issues and we were ignored. Had to move everything to coolers. The fire pit is built into the ground and the whole property is on a hill so there’s no good way to sit around the fire and relax without thinking your chair will tip over. The trail down to the dock was miserable, you couldn’t get down there without stepping in mud. The pictures of everything is deceiving. Do not book. Absolutely the worst rental I’ve ever encountered. Also did not look like a cleaning crew was there, we had to sweep the decks and clean the patio furniture before we used it. The entire ground floor level smelled.

With two weeks passing since alerting management, several attempts for some response and an amicable resolution with Guest Services and management have fallen on deaf ears, hence poor review 1-Basement, Laundry Room and Bathroom -damp and mildew smell, no dehumidifier -Extension cord running entire width of family room for a fan in laundry room. Safety hazard in an already damp basement -Laundry room linoleum curled up around drain, walls, under utility sink -Fan cooling laundry room -water conditioner is leaking mat serves as receptacle for drainage -Basement Bathroom shower curtain liner was mildewed, ripped. At our expense purchased new liner -Dryer is vented into bathroom through exhaust fan 2-Second Floor-Living Room, Kitchen and Bathroom -Sofa end table clearly not dusted for quite a few weeks -All Ceiling Fans had cobwebs and weeks’ worth of accumulated dust. Kitchen fan was worst -Kitchen stove after oven door handle fell off. -2nd floor bathroom smelled of urine and floor was dirty and dusty. There was no mop, used flip flop and disinfect spray I brought with 3 cleaning attempts failed to rid urine smell Kitchen-oven door handle fell off followed by oven door coming apart separating metal and glass. Had to tape door onto front of stove 3-Dock is safety hazard. Cinder block to “step” onto before reaching dock. Worn AstroTurf carpet with mold and slim. Granddaughter fell and came within inches of hitting back of her head
