The Summit by AvantStay is a spacious Tannersville retreat designed for groups who want room to gather, unwind, and settle into the mountain pace. Bright, relaxed, and surrounded by the quiet beauty of the Catskills, this three-bedroom escape works well for families, friends, or mixed groups looking for a comfortable base near Hunter Mountain and the area’s best outdoor adventures.

Inside, the open-concept living area keeps things easy and connected. Natural light fills the space, warm wood tones add a cozy mountain feel, and the fully equipped kitchen makes group meals simple—whether you’re making breakfast before the slopes or winding down with dinner after a day of hiking. The dining table for six anchors the room, doubling as a spot for shared meals, card games, and late-night conversations.

Sleeping arrangements are flexible and thoughtfully set up for groups. Bedroom 1 features a king bed, full-size futon, and TV, creating a comfortable space for both rest and lounging. Bedroom 2 includes a twin-over-full bunk bed, full-size futon, and twin trundle tucked beneath the bunk, making it a practical option for kids, friends, or guests who don’t mind sharing. Bedroom 3 offers a twin-over-twin bunk bed, an additional queen bed, and a TV, giving the group even more room to spread out. One full bathroom and one half bathroom keep the layout convenient.

As a guest of The Summit, you'll also have access to the shared outdoor amenities at Catskill Chalet. The expansive deck is made for slow mornings with coffee and easy evenings watching the trees. The fire pit has a way of turning into the last place anyone wants to leave.

When you're ready to venture out, Tannersville puts you right in the thick of it. Hunter Mountain is just a short drive away — a go-to for skiing and snowboarding in winter and hiking and events through the warmer months. Phoenicia and Woodstock are both worth an afternoon for their restaurants, local shops, and laid-back energy. Waterfalls, scenic drives, and trailheads are all close enough to fill a day without much planning.

The Summit is the kind of place that fits a lot of people without ever feeling crowded — and that makes all the difference on a group trip.

This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs.

As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.

Events or parties are not allowed without prior written approval and an additional fee. Any unauthorized parties or events will be shut down and a fine will be assessed. Please inquire for more information about our event policies and fees.

There is nothing more important to us at AvantStay than the health, safety, and experience of our guests & staff. We've enhanced our cleaning and sanitation protocols and are taking extra care to disinfect all surfaces between reservations with hospital-grade disinfecting solutions.

As a reminder, we do work with 3rd party vendors to maintain the property, and although we adhere to the strictest CDC guidelines and advise all contractors to wear PPE equipment, we can not always enforce. We strongly advise guests to please deny access if any vendors fail to meet and adhere to these standards.

IDs will be requested for verification after booking. All bookings over 28 days require a security deposit.
