Highly recommend if you want a private retreat for your family to relax. The property was exactly as pictured in the listing. The kitchen and eating area are huge and had everything we needed to prepare meals and play games. The living area was comfortable with a smart tv. All the bedrooms were comfortable and quiet. We appreciated having space for everyone in our family to do their own thing. The host was very responsive, without being over-bearing. The property itself was large. We visited over the winter so we didn’t spend much time outside. It would be lovely in other seasons.

Karen‘s home was absolutely perfect for our small group! In a neighborhood, yet tucked away on the top of the mountain, it felt like the perfect balance of privacy and community comfort. The large yard and gorgeous views through the now-naked deciduous trees were an added bonus. This property was miraculously unscathed by the hurricane so felt super safe and welcoming. Karen was an excellent communicator and very accommodating. We felt so at home here! Would definitely recommend renting this VRBO!

Amazing house. The furniture was a bit dated, but didn’t affect our stay in the least. What could have improved our stay was the beds. The bed were very noisy and not comfortable. The house has a lot of space. We never felt crowded. Everyone had their own space. At time the adults would be around the dinner table, the kids would either be in the living room or downstairs playing ping pong. The backyard was amazing and the kids were able to set up to play badminton. The kitchen had everything we needed. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and the host was very communicative and helpful throughout our entire stay.

I already considered this a really good value deal for the amount of bedrooms and space but I was even more pleasantly surprised by the place. The highlight was that it was incredibly clean and well maintained. You could tell that the hosts treasure and care about this place. It was a quick and easy drive to downtown but you felt remote and it was accessible to the blue ridge parkway. We had a great long weekend hiking, venturing into Asheville, grilling out and bonding at the house. My only suggestion would maybe be a bar of soup in the showers. Other than that the hosts had everything covered.

Pros: 1. Board games, Shuttle badminton, Ping pong table, to keep the kids engaged for an hour or so before sleep or get ready, before you start / once you come back from visiting places. Neutral: 1. Old structure so people sleeping on first floor get disturbed if people walk on second floor. Cons: 1. Road to the house: Steep and narrow, single car access road to the final stretch. No space to reverse or go on side. 2. It gets dark and slippery on rainy night. There was a branch had fallen on the road and blocking. It was raining. We were thinking what to do and still trying to confirm the property since it is on the little side from the street. A neighbor or nearby house owner came by and removed after a while. 3. There was no (bath) soap.

Very nice having so many separate bedrooms and baths. Hard to find actual house because roads and driveways look the same. Maybe add you drive thru 2 hairpin turns before driveway. Lots of nice outdoor decks to sit on. Remote but close to town. Not familiar with use of lockbox so that took awhile.

This home is extremely comfortable for large parties. It is conveniently located in a quiet semi-rural area, less than a 15-minute drive from downtown. All amenities and accommodations as described and pictured on the listing.

Great family getaway for a wonderful weekend in Asheville. There was plenty of space for our multi generational family to relax and enjoy. The ping pong table entertained the kids while the adults sat on the porches to enjoy the weather sitting in the shade of the trees. Multiple bedrooms easily accommodated a family of 9. Conveniently located near the Blue Ridge Parkway and downtown Asheville allowed us to easily spend a day exploring the beautiful overlooks on the way to Mount Mitchell summit while enjoying some dinner in downtown later in the day, The Property Owner was very responsive and able to help us with any questions/amenity needs we had. I would recommend this as an excellent place to stay for a wonderful family vacation.

Overall, a great property and was within 10 minutes of everything we wanted to do. The house was a little hard to find at first with GPS as the driveway was on the other side of the house. Warning, the last 5 minutes of the drive is a narrow lane up the side of a mountain with switch backs.

Got together with my siblings and their spouses for a long weekend. House was perfect setup to allow for gatherings and for privacy. Conveniently located and in great condition. Being on mountain side made for great scenery but somewhat scary ascent by car. Kitchen well stocked with needed dishes and some supplies. Quiet and restful with lots of outdoor space including fenced yard and playground equipment. Would definitely return.
