Stayed Oct 17, 2025I would not stay at this place again. The pictures are outdated and everything in the cabin is older and worn out from the furniture to the kitchen pots and pans.It was also not very clean. Stained sheets on the king bed. Dirty tissue and old water bottle behind the couch. Dirt and dust all around the sofa. The property manager was quick to respond to have the dirty sheets replaced.

Stayed Oct 10, 2025There were nothing to do dishes or dry them, no paper towels, no furniture on the screened in porch, lamp in living room had no bulb, no laundry detergent and could have bee cleaned better, if it was cleaned at all. The website also shows a big pile of wood(no wood). We were to stay and leave Friday but my husband had a medical issue and had to get home to see his Dr. I called to let them know we left and no mention of refunding us for 2 nights. We did stay at the same Mountain Cottage last year and were quite happy with it but this year was not nice. Will never stay there again, very disappointing.R

Stayed Jul 16, 2025Out door fireplace was so fun. Yard was perfect for our little dog and she really loved to look out the sunroom door. Screened porch was shaded and enjoyed rain or shine. The home was exceptionally clean and had a very cold fridge, big screen tv, lounging sectional, great central air, well stocked kitchen - all we needed for a relaxing stay. Can certainly recommend. Staff extremely welcoming!

Stayed Jun 20, 2025It was nice but it had an old musty smell so had to go buy wallflowers from bath and body and use them, beds were really comfortable, toilet was a little small and kept lifting up when you get up from it, not enough counter space in bathroom either needs some kind of self to be able to put toothpaste and toothbrush perfume deodorant or a mirror even that open to be-able to use for storage, washer dryer worked good, there was no dishwasher like advertised so didn’t feel comfortable enough to use dishes so bought our own cups and used paper towels as plates, TV was nice and living room, they had to get someone to come out and clean hot tub again and responded fast to that request, yard was nice, however at night the street you have to turn on from wears valley to beable to go back to the cottage is really difficult to see at night and it’s small and narrow and a huge ditch right as you come in and at night very dangerous it really needs some kind of spot light at the end of that road so you can see the road and don’t end up in the ditch, so overall though it was good and I am picky and know a lot of this is just picky things

Stayed Apr 25, 2025The house is small, but cozy. It was clean, lacked maintenance. There was dirty cushions for the outside furniture, crumbling bricks on the patio & the hot tub did not appear maintained. The one bathroom could use much updating. The experience felt like staying at Grandma’s house with a campground bathroom. The couch was comfortable & the cable TV was a plus.

Stayed Apr 12, 2025The house was clean, well supplied and accurate to the description. The only drawback was the fact that the house is less than 100 feet from a major roadway so there was no peace and quiet. Other than that it was a great place.

Stayed Jun 15, 2024Our stay at the Mountain Cottage was a true gift from God. The home was reminiscent of a childhood stay at our grandparents house and we loved every second.

Stayed Mar 30, 2024This cottage was perfect for our family of 3. It was right off a main highway, so it was easy to get to (a little loud if you aren't used to constant traffic). The front porch was comfy, as was the living room. The patio was beautiful but, unfortunately, there are frequent burn bans on the area that make it illegal for you to have a fire. We were looking forward to using the firepit and weren't allowed to. We had problems with the heat not turning on when there was a sudden freeze warning, but the company sent people out and were very responsive, even in the middle of a big thunderstorm. Thankfully, there were 2 space heaters that kept the house warm while they worked on it. There isn't any counter space or more than one towel rack in the bathroom, so it's helpful to buy command hooks and attach them to the dryer for hand towels. We used the washer top as counter space for bathroom necessities. There's also a hole in the bathroom wall where it looked like there used to be a hook or shelf. There are no closets, but there is a hanging rod and a dresser in each room with ample space. Overall, this was a great spot from which to explore the mountains (Foothills Parkway is right before the street to the house) and the local cities, as well as a great spot to just relax in. There are some great restaurants and general stores nearby that had good eats and unique merchandise. We would definitely stay here again if we were in the area.
