This was our ‘overflow’ cabin for a family gathering at my nearby home. My adult kids were quite happy with the cabin. I’d recommend this spot highly…
The house has a great layout and link to its site. The location is great and the link to the AT is close (about 1.5 miles up Big Bald). I had an early autumn stay so the mountain colors were just starting, but still fantastic. All around....wonderful!
Breath taking views around the mountain, turkeys and deer hanging around. Great porch and comfortable interior.
Quaint, peaceful and well stocked getaway! Even though it rained everyday we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back!
Beautiful serene property surrounded by trees and deer!
Loved our stay in Wolf Laurel with a great host and a perfectly charming cabin. Clean, nicely decorated, and a good layout with the beds on either side of the house. Definitely recommend it!
Beautiful property and excellent location. We enjoyed the simplicity of feeling away from it all yet convenient to hiking Big Bald and meeting people at the Country Club. The only reason I didn't give it an all around 5 star was the fact that the listing stated the property has air conditioning, which it does not. We found however that air conditioning was not needed. I would definitely recommend the property and we will be back.
Just lovely.
Lovely cabin…however the only first car up the driveway is able to park on a level surface…any others following must park on a gravel incline…not recommended for seniors to walk up/down…fine for average individuals
Not handy to shopping so take what you're going to need. Great place to kick back and enjoy a fire and go hiking.
Had a great time at Wolf Laurel. Great cabin and great location- close enough to Asheville but far enough away.
Great place to get away. We will be back!
Lovely property. Will be back again - home away from home!
Perfect for no houses seen near you, our dog loved the outside area. My daughter and infant son 3 months old was able to join me at late notice. Booking changes were so easy and efficient when I notified of changes. We were informed WiFi is often interrupted, and it was, so working from home was not consistent. Since my stay was for 14 days, I would recommend 2 outside trash cans as the one there was filled up after one week. I would return to same cabin. I loved the area, the fall tree colors, and most of all the privacy. Saw many deer, wild Turkeys.
The property was clean and comfortable. We had a short stay and the only reason I give it a 4 instead of 5 is the location was a little farther than we thought. Other than that, the porch was so cozy with the string lights and we loved the gas fireplace! The driveway definitely needs 4 wheel drive!!! You’ll love this place
Reservation process easy, property in a quiet community with no other homes next to you. Relaxing and serene. Home has adequately stocked necessities.
We enjoyed our stay!!
We stayed for Labor Day weekend. The cabin and setting were beautiful. The kitchen has everything you need. The cabin was very clean and spacious. I found the bed to be super comfy too! The drive to nearby towns and Asheville is easy. Our only snag was arriving late at night. It was very dark. The person at visitor entry warned of bears - which we never saw - so the night entry was a bit scary. The porch light on would be a suggestion. The driveway needs a running start in non-snow season to get up without a 4-wheel drive.
This is our second time staying at this cabin. The first time it was just my husband and myself and the second time we brought our two kids (ages 4 years and 7 months). It is the perfect size for a small family. Very clean cabin and relaxing with no close neighbors. The community Wolf Laurel is awesome bc it has access to the Appalachian Trail with a nice hike up to Big Bald. We love this cabin and will be back again. Only notes would be 4 wheel drive is definitely a plus to access the cabin (100% needed in winter), and there is heat in the cabin but no AC.
We loved our stay in this beautiful cabin! Very well stocked with everything you need in the kitchen along with towels in the bathroom and full bedding on the beds. Very cozy and quiet. The cabin is also very clean. We felt right at home. Also had board games that we enjoyed playing at night. Only thing I didn't realize is how far away it is from the towns. I should have done more research but just know that it takes a little while to get into Asheville and surrounding areas.
Pictures do not do this cabin justice! Lovely scenery and very relaxing. Felt like home. Highly recommended. We will be back!
Really enjoyed the cabin. Clean, well-stocked beautiful neighborhood. Hiking the bald was amazing.
We loved our time relaxing at the cabin! It was cozy and had everything we needed. Beautiful hike up to 'the balds'.
My lifelong best friend and I stayed the weekend to celebrate our joint 60th birthdays. It was perfect! The location feels safe, plenty of room for us to chill, the porch was our hangout and we loved watching the wildlife do their thing. We hope to be back soon!
We loved this secluded little cabin in a gated community near the Appalachian Trail. It was super cozy and clean and we slept well each night. We took a trip with one other couple and it couldn’t have been a better set up for us.
This property was perfect for our group. The two bedrooms and two bathrooms being on each end of the home offered the right amount of privacy. The fireplace was cozy and house was stocked with everything you needed to feel at home away from home. The front porch with the rocking chairs were great for morning meditation sessions and evening chats. It was secluded…and surrounded by gravel roads that were nice for walking. The nature trail was not far from the cabin. Most importantly IT WAS CLEAN!! I would give this property 10 stars if I could.
