Mountain Cabin on Alyeska with Amazing Valley Views

Cabin would look so much nicer if vegetation in front of cabin and also the back yard was cut down. Unable to access back yard. Noticed houses in surrounding area the same way. Maybe there is a reason? Too short a summer to deal with the outside?

Nice small A frame was a great homebase while sightseeing in the south of Anchorage.

Check in went well, it was clean and comfortable and there was a nice view of the valley.

Perfect cabin for 2, great view, quiet neighbors!

We enjoyed our stay at this charming place. The deck offered a beautiful view, and the comfortable bed and blackout shades made for a great night's sleep. The convenient location was a huge plus!We loved being able to walk the neighborhood and get onto trails through town with ease. It was very quiet at night and just a peaceful place to be. We were grateful to have laundry onsite, though the dryer is a bit loud. We loved having the french doors wide open and sitting outside for meals, enjoying the view.The wifi was reliable. Some great maps and resources for the local area were provided, as was a selection of games. Overall, it's a very sweet place in an amazing spot and we really enjoyed the stay!

Great location and love the view from the deck. We spent a few afternoons reading, enjoying the view and taking in the fresh air.The inside was dated but clean and functional. The outside deck had significant paint, deterioration, and the outside furniture showed signs of aging and some rust.

This little aframe is so cute and so well-supplied. Pots, pans, silverware, towels, toilet paper, laundry detergent, dishes. The only 2 items we missed were a hair dryer and a sheet pan (or any kind of cookware that could go in the oven). No biggie because everything's else is there...just thought I would mention it so you pack accordingly or buy groceries with that in mind. The views from the deck are awesome--mountains! The location is awesome if you like to walk. We walked everywhere in Girdwood--to the end of the Timberline Road & Virgin Creek Falls, to the market downtown, to the Aleyeska Resort & the Winner Creek Trail, and more). Girdwood is also an awesome starting point for day trips to Portage Glacier, Whittier, Seward & Homer. And for big grocery hauls, it's only 32 min from the nearest Fred Meyer Supermarket in Anchorage. I can't wait to return!

The property was just as it was listed. It’s in a quiet neighborhood and a great location for a variety of hikes.

The home was in a great location with a beautiful view of the valley. The inside was very cozy and comfortably fit our adult family of four. When we weren’t out enjoying the area, we spent a lot of quality time out on the huge deck. It was very relaxing.

Made an excellent “home base” for our 4 day trip, exploring Turnagain Arm area. This place had everything we needed. Was close to town, easy access to freeways, and nice quiet part of town.

This cabin was amazing!! Perfect getaway in Alaska tucked into the woods with an amazing view every day!

We enjoyed our stay. It has amazing views, was very clean, nice washer and dryer, great kitchen and bathroom, and our son loved the loft for sleeping.

Great spot

Beautiful view from porch. Nice bathroom. Good area to see Northern Lights when the weather conditions allow it. Sound of rushing water outside is very peaceful. Close to town. Highly recommend.

We stayed in Girdwood for 4 nights before heading to Sitka for 3 days. Davids's cabin had everything we needed. For a couple it is perfect. And for a family with kids the loft would be a bonus. Cooking, sleeping, relaxing it is a great place. And overlooking the valley wow what a view. The cabin is close to everything in town and a perfect spot to explore other parts of Alaska and be your base camp David was responsive ,kind and so helpful. So much so that We stayed again when returning from Sitka. TY for a GREAT time. Joan and Dave

We had a wonderful time at David's cabin overlooking the valley. The views of the mountains were so beautiful. The cabin had everything we needed sleeping was very comfortable cooking space easy. and it was near all the scenic things to do. We went on an ATV guided tour to a glacier in Palmer, some in the family staying in town went horseback riding near Palmer. The Forest Fair in Girdwood had wonderful, talented vendors and great bands and food. It is a very cool town to use as a base to go to Seward, Anchorage Palmer and all they have to offer. David was a very responsive and kind host. We will definitely be back.
