Stayed Feb 5, 2026Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The house is very nice and in a great location! We stayed with our 2 kids and another family of 4 and it was the perfect size. The kids loved the hot tub!However, we did notice an odd gas/sulfur smell in the back of the house, which ended up not allowing us to use one of the rooms. The host was helpful when we reached out, and sent over a couple people to make sure we didn't have a gas leak. The owner said this happened before and is due to the gas company filling the tank to the top. Besides this, it would be a 5-star stay! Still a solid choice for a weekend getaway.

Stayed Dec 17, 2024Our group had 4 generations on this trip and it could not have been more amazing! The location is perfect with walking distance to the Tollhouse lift and an easy and convenient shuttle up the mountain. The village of Stowe is a picture-perfect New England town and made for an incredible backdrop for Christmas shopping! The house was everything we had hoped for, and we'll definitely be returning!

Stayed Oct 18, 2024Our party of 4 couples spent a weekend at the Mountain House in mid October for a road race at the Alchemist. The 8 of us had plenty of room; the beds were comfortable and the hot tub was a wonderful treat after running the race. The house is a few minutes from town in a quiet location in Mountain Rd. Be sure to read the information about key pick up and drop off ( as I forgot to do prior to arrival). Charming home with lots of room! We enjoyed the little touches like the gift bag upon arrival and high rend toiletries in the bathrooms. We plan on returning next year!

Stayed Oct 11, 2024We had a fantastic time staying here over Indigenous People’s day weekend!!! We had two families, each with two kids aged 5 and 7. The house was awesome for our group! The siblings each had their own rooms and the adults had nice sized rooms that were comfy and had bathrooms. The kids had a ball playing outside on the property, going in the hot tub, and entertained themselves for hours in the game room. The kitchen was well stocked and spacious for all of us. Best of all the house was close to the mountain, hiking, corn maze, town, and restaurants. The property manager was fantastic with communication and made everything so easy for us. We’d be lucky to stay here again!!! Fantastic:)

Stayed Jun 30, 2024The location was perfect for us. Away from the busy downtown area and close to the resorts. We like to cook in and the kitchen was well supplied. This was one of the best VRBO’s I’ve stayed in.
