Sandpoint, Idaho
Welcome to Moose Haven at The Idaho Club. This newly constructed custom home is balanced on one of the most gorgeous view lots at the only Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course in Idaho: The Idaho Club.
Enter into a warm, fully appointed home where the color palette and furnishings reflect nature, water and wildlife that surrounds and consistently migrates through this area. A Great Room with large, stone gas fireplace opens up to a large kitchen and dining room with views of The Pack River -- a 40 mile long river that flows into majestic Lake Pend Oreille. Fish or kayak the river and witness the incredible wildlife that live here: Moose, Elk, Deer, Wild Turkeys, Eagles & Ospreys, Beaver, Ducks, Heron, Turtle, Owl, Cutthroat and Brook Trout, Kokanee Salmon and more!
Located inside the gated community of The Idaho Club -- come play this incredible semi-private golf course (open spring through October). With water coming into play on most holes, pack a few extra balls and pick the tee best for you! Afterwards enjoy lunch or dinner at the impressive Idaho Clubhouse where you can eat al fresco during the nice weather or enjoy dinner throughout the rest of the year. A large sports bar is also a hit and the Clubhouse can also host small events. Outdoor pickleball courts are also available.
Back inside the Moose Haven home, there are two large master suites with King beds. The third bedroom has a Queen bed and the fourth, a full over Queen bunkbed. A large two car garage is open and available.
Schweitzer Mountain is JUST 25 minutes away, making this an ideal winter getway home. Come enjoy the pristine beauty of our area, play at Schweitzer, come back and have dinner at the Clubhouse! A perfect day indeed.

Ultimately we were very happy in every way with our stay at this Vrbo located in the Idaho Club area outside sandpoint except for 2 items which were minor--to us. We would rent this property again. The only 2 nitpicks i would mention were that the power to the entire area went out 2 times during our 1 week long stay--though the second time was as we were leaving and was minimally impactful. The neighboring house to the property we were renting had a generator that kicked on automatically, it would be ideal if this property had the same if this is a common situation in this area.. And for the second item i would suggest the listing encourages a 4x4 or other suitable vehicle for driving when snow is expected or increase the frequency of road plowing. Since Schweitzer Mtn opens lifts at 9:30, renters in this area will be leaving the area at 8:30 or so--and that seems to be before the morning plowing occurs. The neighborhood and the primary road that connects to the highway doesn't get the same frequency of plowing/sand/deicing as the highway to sandpoint. We did plan ahead and rented a 4x4 Jeep for the trip-- and this came to be very useful for its 4x4 low as we became stuck on the primary road that connects this neighborhood to the highway after moving over for an oncoming plow and sliding into a low spot of the side of the road when there was a fresh overnight snowfall and we were leaving the property at 9am. 4x4 was critical to get us back on the road surface.
The house was exactly as advertised, rooms were comfortable, kitchen was well stocked and we had a good time. Only draw backs were the lack of water pressure in the showers and it’s about 40 minutes from the house to the top of Schweitzer mountain. Overall nice place.
