Wonderful Stay in Montauk! Beautiful Home with a great kitchen and nice outdoor hot tub with a skyward view of autumn colors!
This home was perfect for our trip and had great proximity to town and all the spots we wanted to visit during our stay in Montauk. Justin was very accessible/helpful as well. Would absolutely stay here again!
A group of us stayed at Justin’s home for 9 nights last month and had a great stay. The location cannot be beat, the house is fully stocked with anything you could need to settle in for a short stay which is great/no need to BYO essentials. The house was clean and spacious. Justin was very communicative throughout the week and even allowed for late checkout. Cannot recommend this home enough, and hope to stay here again next summer.
Just had a beautiful week at this property. The house is perfectly laid out for a family with children. I had my teenagers, their friends, my 6 yo and my mother. The basement is perfect for teen boys as it has a bathroom and the teen boys escaped for some raucous screen time. The kitchen is beautiful and the deck is large with multiple seating areas and a hot tub. Justin was very responsive and answered all questions quickly. Perfect stay. The only reason that location lost a star has nothing to do with the property itself. East Hampton and Montauk have imposed parking regulations on many beach parking lots which made the beach choices more difficult than they had to be. Kirk beach however, has a 35$ a day lot that is easily accessible. Great week in Montauk.
Great house that is very well taken care of, beautiful property, very clean and spacious. Owner was super responsive! Would absolutely rent again. Nothing but positive things to say!
It was the worst rental experience. The house is dirty, dusty and smells like mold. It is dark and gloomy. We had to cover the couches in the living room to be able to sit. The kitchen cabinets smelled terrible, the handles were sticky, the whole place looked abandoned. We wanted to turn around right away but would have lost our money. The host never came to greed us, and stayed hidden in his next door house. Only communicated with us through text. There is nothing, absolutely nothing pleasant to say about the house. We spend most of our time outside and only came back to sleep.
Great spot. Tons of space, easy for everyone to enjoy themselves. Loved the kitchen! The seating areas outside were really nice too. Deposit returned very quickly with no issues. Can't wait to return!
We had a wonderful stay. The house was clean and comfortable and close to town and the beach. Our hosts were very easy to work with. I would definitely recommend this house to friends.
We are a family of 5 and have been traveling to Montauk over the last few years and the trip wouldn't be as enjoyable if we didn't stay here. There are various reasons this house is so warm, comforting, and inviting. The house is an experience to be had by all five senses. As soon as you pull onto the street the house greets you with a hint of juniper in the air. Pull into he driveway and the sand colored pebbles on the ground you remind you immediately where you are as I automatically shift into vacation mode. The house itself is a spacious and has a country feel to it. Coming from the everyday hustle and bustle this is a quiet , gentle place to unwind. I am personally thankful that although we came to be near the water, having 3 little ones, I am thrilled that there is no pool. The family has tons of room to play, a hammock to swing on, for the older children a basketball hoop down the road, tons of board games downstairs and the beach pass that allows you the peace of mind to travel from beach to beach freely. We often invite friends or family to stay and for these occasions there is a separate niche with a refrigerator as well as a full bath. Let it be known that the house itself can easily accommodate us all with having to bump into one another and push and pull to make room. There is an extremely large dinner table that seats an easy 12 along with all the food. The flow to the house is an absolutely perfect match for respectable folks who can appreciate simple, quiet time in a pristine setting. As always in life, remember to bring what you need, pay attention to one another, and the rest will take care of itself... PS: The a/c has NEVER stunk.
We reserved this house for my father's 70th birthday week last summer. We had 6 adults and 3 kids which the house fit very well. What I loved about the house was the layout - there's room enough for couples to do their own thing yet great common areas for happy hour or dinner. The lawn, fire pit and seating around the pit are all fantastic especially for large groups that want to unwind at the end of the day. My only gripes are that I thought the owner could have cleaned out the filters on the AC's since it was sweltering hot but they looked as if they had never been touched in years. We cleaned them but the AC's still blew musty smelling air which wasn't at all pleasant. Also, for the cost of a week's rent I thought the owner could have left glass wine glasses and martini glasses but they didn't so that wasn't ideal either. The yellow jacket hive under the table on the porch could have been eliminated before we got there so my 2 year old didn't have to get stung but oh well you can't win 'em all. Overall, I would rent this house again especially if the AC's were replaced. We had a great week and a lifelong memory thanks to this property.
