Stayed Mar 12, 2025Owners were wonderful giving recommendations and updates as we were staying here when the recent wildfire happened in the area! The house is beautifully decorated, the scenery is gorgeous, and the beds are comfortable! I cannot say enough good things. I would love to stay here again in the future!

Stayed Nov 27, 2024Great property with lots of thoughtful touches. Very clean. Great yard/outside area. Only caveat was a little sulfur smell with the hot water. Other than that perfect and would definitely book again.

Stayed Jun 7, 2024Really pretty house, very updated. Super clean and just very well put together. A few smaller cons, we found 2 scorpions, one alive and one dead. We had a slight issue getting into the house, but the owner did respond fairly promptly. And lastly the house was at 82 degrees when we got there. Which meant the house would need to cool for 4-5 hours before it felt nice. I would highly recommend leaving the house at 75, so it’s not so hot if you come to town at night after a long drive. Coming to a house at 82 degrees is not pleasant. We would stay there again however.

Stayed Mar 15, 2024This is hands down one of the best houses I have stayed at. As soon as you walk in your whole body relaxes. The beds are comfy, the deco is perfect and the outside is the cherry on the Sunday. I cannot wait to come back.

Stayed Apr 21, 2022Wonderful home close to the wineries and a comfortable drive to Fredericksburg. The remodel is perfect. We enjoyed Texas wine by the firepit and saw several deer close by. The outside cantania is fun attraction too. Would have liked to know more about the history of the house and Cain City. The primary bedroom didn’t have any place to sit which would have been nice. And the shower didn’t have a place for toiletries. What about a teakwood shower stool? All in all, a great Texas experience.

Stayed Mar 17, 2022We enjoyed our stay so much! It was the perfect size for our family that had child, teenager, and my parents. It is close enough to town to get there quickly but far enough out to enjoy a fire with s’mores, deer watching, and star gazing. We enjoyed Fredericksburg, Elephant Preserve, and the trade days just down the road. The only complaint would be internet. We tried watching tv but one night it kept interrupting the movie to say loading. Not the end of the world but hard to entertain the 17 and 8 year old. The girls loved the extra area in the garage so they could have a bit of space to spread out. I would highly recommend a stay to others and hope to come back soon.
