Brookline Village is where Boston slows down without losing its pulse — a pocket of tree-lined streets, café chatter, and century-old brick that still feels like a true neighborhood. Around Harvard and Washington Streets, mornings start with espresso at Caffè Nero or pastries from Brothers & Sisters, and evenings wind down over Venezuelan small plates at Orinoco or dinner and craft cocktails at The Garrison House.

Days here move easily: errands at local markets, walks to Emerson Garden, or a quick Green Line hop to Longwood Medical or Fenway. The D branch station is steps away, putting downtown Boston within minutes while keeping everyday life grounded and calm.

This part of Brookline was built for balance — professionals, families, and travelers all crossing paths in a walkable, welcoming center that still holds onto its village feel. From the quiet parks to the neighborhood festivals, it’s a place that feels lived in, not just passed through — classic Boston warmth with a heartbeat of its own.

Guests have private access to the entire townhome, including the private deck. Self check-in is available for flexible arrival. Coin-operated laundry is located on the ground floor of the building. Parking may be available for rent by request, subject to availability.

Spacious 3-bedroom, 2-bath townhome in the heart of Brookline Village, offering over 2,000 square feet of furnished living space across two upper levels of a historic building. Blending classic character with modern comfort, the home features high ceilings, hardwood floors, and central air throughout.

The main living level includes an open living room with sleeper sofa and TV, a formal dining room, a fully equipped kitchen, a full bathroom, and a queen bedroom. Upstairs, French doors open to a flexible den or bedroom with a queen Murphy bed, sofa, and large TV, along with a king bedroom, a second full bath, and access to a private deck ideal for morning coffee or evening unwinding.

Located just steps from cafés, bakeries, and neighborhood favorites along Harvard and Washington Streets, the townhome sits approximately 0.1 mile from the MBTA Green Line (D branch). From here, the Longwood Medical Area, Fenway Park, area universities, and downtown Boston are easily accessible.

Brookline Village offers a rare balance of calm and connection — a walkable neighborhood with tree-lined streets, local markets, and nearby green spaces like Emerson Garden, Cypress Street Park, and Larz Anderson Park. It’s a setting that feels grounded and lived in, combining classic Boston warmth with everyday ease.

The D line Brookline Village stop is a 2 minute walk, three bus lines with in a 1 minute walk. Less than a 10 minute walk to Coolidge Corner .

This is a beautiful unit, in a fantastic location, that is suffering from a serious amount of neglect. Some of the issues: - The parking is actually a 15 minute walk from the building, though the directions said the spot was directly behind it (so confusing!). - We arrived to a smoke detector losing its battery and loudly beeping and the STARS person told us to just get a new battery. (The ceilings there are about 14', luckily we found a ladder stashed outside a random door and one of us was fearless enough to climb up). A second alarm went off two days later at about 6 a.m. (at least we knew where the ladder was).- The unit really only sleeps six, pull out couch was dusty and kind of broken and the mattress was so wonky. If someone tried to sleep on it, half their body would be like inside the couch!- There's one thermostat for the whole unit so downstairs was FREEZING while upstairs boiled. Those were the big things. The small things? Upstairs bathroom has no towel hooks (just broken off command strips); upstairs back bedroom door doesn't stay closed, just drifts wide open; sheets were old and polyester; the ceiling has obvious water damage; curtain rod in the living room not screwed in, so it fell when we when we tried to open the curtains; downstairs bedroom outlets didn't work; cleaners showed up at 10:45 our last day (check out is 11). As one of us said: Someone from STARS should stay there for two weeks to see what it's like! Pretty sad for such a lovely space.

Our host was very responsive, even with simple questions! The location was great. They helped arranged parking for the weekend. The train station was located right around the block and bus station less than a block away. The townhouse had plenty of room for the six of us. There is a large sectional and dining room table we could all sit and watch tv or play games. The place was very clean. I would definitely recommend staying here.

This was a great location for eating places nearby and close to the subway line to get into Boston for tourist attractions. Loved the large living room and kitchen area

Great location! T stop around corner. 1 King and 2 queens, other beds were a pullout sofa, and a recliner oversized chair. We didn’t use either of those. Very clean and comfortable.

this was one of my overall favorite stays on VRBO in brookline ma in the village … It was a large beautiful clean 2 story townhouse apartment with parking in back of building . can’t say enough great things about the property managers communication before and during our stay.. i would highly recommend this property..

This was a great place to stay for a local graduation. Location is right near the T, LOTS of good dining choices within an easy walk, and private space to chill out when everyone needed a break from all the celebrations. Three couples can comfortably stay in private rooms, and there are other sleeper couch and recliner options that aren't as private. Communication with the property team was easy. Their rental contract is slightly different from vrbo's, so I woudl suggest communicating directly with the host if you anticipate any special situations.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. The location was fantastic—just a short walk to the T—and we loved hanging out at the Garrison House just a few doors down. The townhome was even more spacious than expected, with plenty of room for our group. The couch is the blue sectional couch, not the two white couches in some of the photos. While it's reassuring to know that help is available when needed, the amount of communication felt excessive before, during, and after our stay. Nonetheless, I would still recommend this property for its great location and comfort.

This is an amazing rental in Boston. Brookline is an adorable neighborhood with great restaurants, coffee shops and cute shops and grocery stores all within walking distance from the rental. We easily jumped on the T to visit Boston attractions (The Freedom Trail and Fenway). The apartment is very large and had plenty of room for our family to spread out. It's clean and well stocked. We purchased the optional parking spot for our stay which took the stress out of finding parking. The only watch out is the wifi is only really strong in the living/kitchen/dining area. I needed to take a short, confidential Teams call for work while on our trip and none of the bedrooms had a strong enough signal to do that so I had to take the call in the common area and send the family to their rooms. Just a watch out if you are planning to do lots of work from the apartment. The apartment is large and the construction is solid, so it would likely benefit from some signal boosters, so the wifi can reach the upstairs and back bedrooms. But I'd definitely stay here again!
