This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs.

As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.

Events or parties are not allowed without prior written approval and an additional fee. Any unauthorized parties or events will be shut down and a fine will be assessed. Please inquire for more information about our event policies and fees.

There is nothing more important to us at AvantStay than the health, safety, and experience of our guests & staff. We've enhanced our cleaning and sanitation protocols and are taking extra care to disinfect all surfaces between reservations with hospital-grade disinfecting solutions.

    When we got there, the maids were not finished and we were supposed to be in at 4 o’clock. We eventually got in at 4:30. They said they were sorry but the place was a mess from the people before us. Also, the next morning they were paving the road we had to get the cars And my daughters car got cement on her tires and we had to be out of the driveway for 24 hours a little bit of a pain we had to park our car down the street

    The place was great. We enjoyed our stay. The only thing that was that the shower is clogged and the floors are very creaky. Other than that it was a great place to stay.

    The property was not very clean by any standard. The carpet was absolutely filthy with stains everywhere. there was no soap, body wash shampoo or conditioner in the bathroom dispensers. Fortunately, there was some pump soap at the bathroom sinks.There were lights that were burned out in the entry to the porch as well as in the upstairs master bathroom.

    About the home: First of all the photos make it look like a stand alone home but it’s a townhome. Second many of the photos (including main living area and dining room) must be old as the furniture has been changed to things less nice- needs updating. Second there isn’t enough seating space in living room for that many people- sofa is rather small and only two small side chairs. The home is a full time rental and feels like it- things are worn down, and many showers are leaking, dishwasher barely works, etc. we had to call multiple times to get the shower to work (it was stripped in master) and it wasn’t until the 3rd time it was fixed. And they cleaned the filter of the dishwasher but it still doesn’t clean well and the air gap is very noisy and leaks a lot. The code for the front door was wrong at check in. All that said, the management company was very responsive with each request- it just feels like the owner needs to make some upgrades to the house. The house does sleep a ton of people which is good. The sheets are low quality polyester and the pillows are not comfortable. For the cost of this house I expected many of these things to be better or at least to be correctly advertised. Overall on location :While we love staying in Schaffers mill (the Sawyer restaurant are great and community is friendly) you can’t use any amenities. The location is not great if you are skiing anywhere else besides Northstar, but it’s really close to Truckee.
