Our stay at Boutiq’s Once in a Blue Moon cabin included: 1) nothing that exceeded our expectations, 2) most items minimally met our expectations for the price paid, and 3) the following items that were below our expectations: • There was no Christmas Tree and no Christmas decorations. Our stay began on December 29, 2023, and we normally keep our decorations up until January 6, 2024. • With the exception of the primary bedroom, there were no closets. • There were no luggage racks. • The TVs did not provide a “normal” TV service that includes frequently watched channels. • The rug in the primary bedroom curled up in one of the corners and caused me to trip – I walk with a cane. This is not safe. • There is no bench in the shower of the primary bedroom. • The management staff refused to provide the door code earlier than the morning of the beginning of the stay. Furthermore, they did not reply to the second e mail requesting the door code early and referencing that the full payment was provided months in advance, while in the past, reserving a cabin required only ½ of the payment months in advance and the balance due shortly before the stay. • Living Room fireplace does not work appropriately. • String lights outside did not work appropriately. • Patio furniture cushions were dirty. • No blinds in various places which caused people to wake up early and made it difficult to watch TV.
Perfect place to stay with a few families. Highly recommend
Though a bit hard to find (needs better/more landmark-oriented directions), this amazing property is worth the search. Huge, well-appointed, lovely, remote, and just what our group was looking for. We couldn’t have asked for anything more.
The cabin was amazing! It was exactly as described, very clean and quite spacious! The kids loves the bunk room and the playset was a huge hit! The check in process was smooth and very communicative. Highly recommend!
Very clean, comfy, and great location!!!!
Our family loved this place. We would definitely stay there again!
We had a wonderful time! It was great for a big family, 9 in all.
The house was hard to find, but once we got there it was perfect and very relaxing for my family.
This property was amazing! It was well stocked with necessary things and very clean. It was just as it was advertised. We had a great time, and will definitely consider staying there again!
All good except the roads.
Wonderful property. It accommodated our large party perfectly. Also very responsive when we had questions and needs.
Easy as pie
Very nice. Good directions and easy to check in. Would recommend
Location is perfect, clean and comfortable.
Driving to the cabin had a finished paved road. Upon arrival we were greeted by the modern yet cozy feeling of this cabin. Me and my family absolutely enjoyed everything this cabin had to provide. The modern and clean finishes was a nice addition to our stay. The backyard was very spacious and private, with a covered hot tub that was close to the playground set outside, making it easy to keep an eye out on the kids. A bonus feature that we enjoyed so much was the game room. It was packed with fun games and activities to play. The beds were very comfortable. Love the kitchen and it’s open concept. I would definitely enjoy coming back and recommending to family and friends!
Thank you for a great time at Once in a Blue Moon! We thoroughly enjoyed the cabin -- it was perfect for our large family (2 parents, 7 kids, & a grandma). The kids loved the game room and bunk room especially as well as the backyard. I appreciated the beautiful large kitchen and how well stocked it was with all pots, pans, utensils, appliances, etc I would need to cook a zillion meals for my large family! The king suites were beautiful and the beds were comfortable. As a previous review mentioned, the roads are a bit filled with potholes going in if you take the entrance just south of The Blue Rooster/Grateful Head Pizza. HOWEVER, there is a great alternative that is not much further and full of fun cabins to look at as well as amazing views! You can enter the neighborhood from the north just up 259 on Sugarberry and go that way. We enjoyed seeing all the unique cabins (and fun names) and that way is fully paved. Our family highly recommends Grateful Head Pizza (we ate it twice this trip) as well as spending as much time as possible in Beaver's Bend State Park. We rode horses (the little ones rode the train and ponies), kayaked and rode on pedal boats, and hiked (the Friends Trail is a must). Thanks again for renting to us. We hope to come stay again!
Cabin is beautiful, clean and spacious for our big group! Our group had an amazing time! Roads to the property are a little rough but minor in the scale of the time we had.
