The house has a great open main room with post and beam and high ceiling. Good kitchen and center island for the time that you are indoors. Bedrooms are comfortable and bathrooms are well done. The deck is nice with decent deck furniture. The dock is good but isn’t a “deep water dock”. Fire pit should be in a better location. But overall, the best house that we have rented to date on Moosehead Lake.
Beautiful home in a perfect peaceful location!
This home was lovely and well equipped. Perfect for our weekend wedding. Would definitely recommend!
The home was absolutely stunning. The owners have created the perfect oasis, with a gorgeous view, comfortable yet well-appointed furnishings, and wonderful book selection! Thank you to the owners for sharing your home. Best, Michelle
It was a good experience. It was remote, felt safe and on the lake. It was surprising that they provided all the amenities and electronics EXCEPT microwave. That was a deal breaker for me since I have two little kids with me. Warming up milk and other food and meal quickly is very important for me. It is somewhat remote. We didn’t use oven, dish washer, TV, washer or dryer but those were available. Cabin was very clean and beautiful.
This house on Moosehead Lake was just awesome! The dock was a huge hit with our kids. It was clean, open layout, plenty of room, great kitchen, good size front yard, awesome fire pit area and it’s pretty private because of the lot size and location of neighbors. It needs a microwave, window curtains, better shower pressure upstairs and a dedicated internet line. Oh and the drive to town is about 25 minutes, which was fine with us but there is no “quick run to the store” trips. Love this house!
This is a beautiful home, well furnished and equipped, with tremendous privacy. The great room is outstanding and the location on the lake is perfect. There was plenty of room; the beds, the fireplace, the bathrooms, and all linens, utensils, and other supplies were just right. It's at the end of a 5 mile dirt road, but that adds to the privacy. The shoreline is rocky, but that is Moosehead. We will be back.
Well equipped, spacious and comfortable home. Excellent views. Lovely property. We enjoyed our stay and would book again.
We loved the house being on Moosehead Lake and getting to enjoy the breathtaking views! It is peaceful and quite with privacy. It takes about 25 minutes to get to the cabin from Greenville. The road is gravel in the development and you can go approximately 20 mph. This was ok with us as we liked looking for wildlife. We enjoyed time on the dock as well as time on the large deck. The stars fill the sky at night and it is just amazing! Add the fireflies and it truly takes your breath away! Bug spray definitely needed for the mosquitos. The home does not have A/C but does have a circulation system that moves the air. The kitchen is well equipped and the home has a nice cozy feel to it. We were visiting Maine for the first time and found this cabin for the part of the trip where we wanted to just chill and take in the beauty of Maine and hopefully see some some Moose. Unfortunately, we did not see moose on this trip but did see plenty of other things like deer, loons, hawks, hummingbirds, blue jays, robins etc… My favorite thing was to get my cup of coffee and grab a book off the bookshelf and sit in one of the window bench seats and watch the sunrise. ☀️
Everything a lake house should be and more. Well stocked, and extremely comfortable. It’s a space that feels like home almost immediately. We’ll be back!
