Modern Getaway Retreat House on 2 Acres

This home is roomy and comfortable, and was very clean! It’s in a subdivision (not what I’d expected), and looks a bit ‘rough’ from the outside. Inside though, it’s modern, spacious, and well-appointed. I’d definitely stay again!

The property was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was updated and was nicely equipped with new appliances and updates. It would have been helpful if the owner had furnished practical dish ware. The “china” that was provided did not include cereal bowls which we would have appreciated as we opted to have breakfast at the house. We also were unsure whether the china was dishwasher or microwave safe so we were very limited in what dishes were usable. A trip to Target with some functional dishware would be helpful. On a positive note the owner did provide a nice Keurig machine with ample coffee pods. It would have been helpful, however, if the owner had provided that information when I messaged him to inquire about the availability of a coffee pot. Although the refrigerator looked new the water and ice that should be accessible on the door were not turned on. The bathrooms were updated, although the master en-suite bathroom was very small and the window screw was missing which meant we could not close the window completely. It also would have been nice to have towel racks in the bathrooms so that used towels could be hung to dry. I was initially concerned that the shower floor did not have a step down, but rather was level with the rest of the bathroom floor. I had visions of the water running under the shower curtain flooding the bathroom. No worries there as there was very little water pressure so the trickle of water remained in the shower stall.
