The space
The land itself is protected & held for the benefit of wildlife including migrating birds, insects & rare plants species. Our goal is to live lightly and keep our footprint small. For this reason we don’t use pest control, harmful chemicals or anything that could negatively impact the surrounding environment. In support of native plants, including speciality host plants such as milkweed, we are on a strict mowing schedule. We ask guests to respect the natural environment and support our efforts in protecting the land and the many creatures that call the land home. All cars must remain on the paved driveway and we ask that guests do not pick, pull or trample wildflowers. It is important that we allow these plants to flourish which means they need to flower and go to seed without human interference. We appreciate our guests support in our commitment to protecting this beautiful and important habitat. Fishing is only permitted from the dock on a catch and release basis & must be conveyed to host. Hooks and fishing lines must not be left as they can entangle shore birds and cause injury. Please report any lost hooks/lures immediately to the host.
Guest access
The home is accessible via the keypad on the front door.

Myself and other conservationists, wildlife biologists, nest-box managers, & land caretakers may be at the property doing nest checks and offering supplemental care to nesting birds and wildlife. If guests are interested in learning about nest box managment, native plants &/or wildlife, please contact the host directly.
