Cute house with plenty of room to relax. Close to Clayton but not on top of the “hustle and bustle.”
This cabin was all that we hoped it to be and then some. It fit our family perfectly with the 2 great living rooms. The propane fire pit on the back deck was a nice surprise and there’s plenty of seating out there. It’s less than 2 miles from Ingle’s but far enough up the mountain that you still feel secluded. The property owners have thought of everything to make it a fun and pleasant stay… including a Sasquatch hunt inside the house! We enjoyed shopping in Highlands, riding the Scaly Mountain Screamer, visiting 12 Spies and Stonewall Creek wineries, the antique shops in Dillard, Hillside Farm Orchards, and strolling downtown Clayton. Had great BBQ at the Blue Hound BBQ at the Highlands Outpost and a great lunch at Friends in downtown Clayton. This was our 21st year visiting Rabun County and we’ll be back again next year!
We enjoyed our family trip to the mountains and loved that our dogs were able to join. Great location, close to downtown Clayton and close to where we went white water rafting. Enjoyed the peace and quiet of sitting on the huge back porch.
The place was great and we had a wonderful stay! We brought our two small dogs and they enjoyed the trip. The neighbor had two dogs they let run around for a while so my dogs became barkers. But that’s not the fault of this rental. But the rental could not have been nicer. Very clean and beautifully decorated. Note: the master bedroom does open up to the attached bathroom, no door. Been married for 38 years but that was different! Ha! We made it work!
Very much enjoyed our stay.
House was great. Everything we needed and then some was provided. You could tell the owners put a lot if thought into making it fun for families. The location was great. Close to town and the Ingles grocery right down the road. The driveway was a little scary for us since we are from the lowcountry and not used to driving in the mountains but we got used to it and didn't have any issues in our midsized SUV. My mom had problems backing in and out in her Dodge Charger with the loose gravel, though. We would definitely stay here again!
The house is spacious and well laid-out with comfortable mattresses and sofas. Our women’s outdoor adventure group stayed here to raft the Chattooga and hike Tallulah Gorge—super convenient. Only major issue is that none of the windows or doors had screens, so we couldn’t enjoy the mountain air, and the management company didn’t respond to our email. If the house had screens I would definitely book it again.
We were in town for a wedding. The house was great for hanging out with our friends. Very clean. We didn’t cook there but the kitchen seemed well appointed. We would stay there again.
It was located close to all the attractions we were interested in. Close to several waterfalls and trails. Such a well furnished home for family.
