Stainless appliances including a new gas downdraft range, granite and tile countertops, good quality cookware and knife set, and a full set of barware are excellent for entertaining. Both bedrooms are upstairs, a King bed in the back bedroom and a Queen bed in the front bedroom, with a bathroom off the hall in between.
Start your day with a bike ride through the 2+ miles of paved trails that surround Shorepine Village. Take an afternoon paddle on the nearby Nestucca River with the two provided kayaks. Finish the evening off by using the beach wagon to bring your drinks, snacks, and firewood to the beach and enjoy a bonfire under the stars. The property and location were wonderful. Criticisms would be lack of any type of spice including salt and pepper, there was a total lack of storage for box and bagged food, grill was peeling and rusty with no back up propane tank, the stove was still inoperable, hand soap under kitchen sink was empty, the pots were dirty with no scrub material to clean them (SOS or Brillo) and the toilets were very very slow filling (this being the most critical). Additionally the foot bridges over the dunes were closed eliminating our beach access. We understand this was not an VRBO problem, it was still quite disappointing.
Great place but the oven was broken and the back up plan they offered of a small counter top oven also was broken. Would have been a perfect stay (very nice home and location) if I could have eaten something not cooked in a frying pan.
On day two of our stay, an appliance repair person arrived to fix the oven. It would have been helpful if you had given us a heads up that he was coming. As it was, he was unable to fix it, so our plan to broil a steak was a no-go. Otherwise, our stay was stellar!
The home itself is lovely and comfortable. However the amenities, prominently highlighted in the listing, were lacking. The bikes were unridable, the kayaks unusable and the barbecue poorly maintained.
