Perfect spot for quite weekend. The views are incredible and the house is lovely. The steam room in the shower was a great addition to the stay.

We loved our stay here, the view was like medicine for our weary souls. The beds and linens were very clean. Loved using the fireplace and full kitchen. Shower sauna was so nice as well.

Sadly, I would like to give this stay a 4 but there was a stink bug infestation and they were everywhere. They were even on the bed and crawling on people while they slept and all over the bathroom. It would have been nice to be alerted about this bf the stay bc we would have likely chosen somewhere else. The view was absolutely amazing as was the style of the house. Great little trail and outdoor area. The owner was very responsive when we asked to make the temperature warmer and he changed it for us right away. It was a great experience minus the bugs.

We loved staying here. The house is beautiful and very clean! We enjoyed the fireplace and the fire pit outside and the hot tub was great. Kitchen was well stocked. The view is amazing! Peter was a great host. Be sure to follow his directions to the house, not Google maps. My family had a great time and would rent this house again.

What a wonderful place to stay in the mountains and the view was spectacular. We really enjoyed our time at this property. I will say that GPS takes you the wrong way and clearer driving directions would have been nice but that didn’t take away from how nice the stay was!

Beautiful view and lovely house.

We had an incredible stay at this property! The views are truly beautiful, with great sunsets and even more stunning sunrises. This place is also very secluded and private, it was exactly what we were looking for to escape from our busy schedules for a couple of days and unwind. The steam room/shower combo was an added bonus. We'll definitely be back as soon as possible!

Everything about this house was exceptional, from the spectacular views to the comfort of the beds to the responsiveness of the host. Exactly as advertised on site. A bit off the beaten path, but that only adds to the absolute privacy that you enjoy. Absolutely a 5 star rental.

We had a wonderful time. The home was perfect, great views and well stocked. A perfect place for some down time and a great place to relax.

Great home and view. Would certainly rent again. Only desirable would be better roads to Blowing Rock which takes about 25 minutes to Main Street. Easily passable roads for 3 seasons but many curves and rough pavement.

By far the most secluded, quiet and tranquil cabin we’ve stayed at. The view is incredible and the amenities are superb!

Peter is wonderful to work with as a host. The home is clean and well kept. The private location and amazing view are what makes this property a cut above the rest. All 4 visits to this property over the last 5 years have been wonderful.

It’s quite the drive out of town, but well worth it. It was so beautiful and peaceful. The cabin was clean and cozy. We were surprised that there was food del delivery way out there. Would definitely stay here again.

To begin with the good, a wonderful home with beautiful views, a suitable hot tub, and comfortable beds. Kitchen with adequate utensils, but don’t expect any accoutrements. The grill worked great!Wonderful, woodburning fireplace. The home stocked with firewood which was unexpected yet deeply appreciated. For the unexpected and lesser sides of this home, maps would suggest that you can go over the mountain directly into Boone/blowing rock area. This is not true as there is no pass over the mountain. You have to drive down towards Wilkesboro and around towards Boone, adding to the length of travel. This should be stated in the listingThere is nothing short of a stink bug infestation in this home, often times being hit by flying bugs while sitting on the couch. As our time progress, this became a more significant issue.The basement had dead bugs littered throughout in the corners. The second bed, a futon/couch, was minimally adequate, thankfully had kids that were not finicky about their sleeping conditions.

Pictures do not do justice! The house truly felt like home, the view was spectacular and the hospitality was impeccable!!

Took family of 8 to this beautiful home. Used all of the amazing amenities- Hot tub, grill, fire-pit, pool table, foosball, corn hole, fully furnished kitchen, plus really cool spiral staircase. The view was outstanding, great backyard with hiking trail. Made some great memories here. Would love to come back!

House was perfect for our family of 6. Plenty of space for us all, and had everything we would need. I’m sure the view was wonderful, unfortunately there was so much fog the entire visit, we didn’t see any of it!! Would highly recommend this property.

Our family of four had a weekend visiting Blowing Rock and Boone. The view at this house was definitely a highlight!

It was a great stay.

Myself and three buddies spent a long weekend in the side of the hill. Everything we needed was there. House was clean and well appointed. Great fire pit though wood didn’t appear to be provided. A little issue locating property as GPS took me through a gated neighborhood. Once in the neighborhood I was being directed 1.5 miles down a Forrest road only to reach a gate. Avoid access through the Blue Ridge Club. Our stay was overall great!

This cabin is wonderful! Large enough to comfortable fit our family of 5. The basement was a wonderful addition making it a fun game room at night for the kids. All the details in the decor were beautiful. But the most amazing part was the view! They even had a small nature walk which our young kids loved.

This house was perfect. First of all, THE VIEW, wow, stunning view of the Blue Ridge Parkway, breathtaking, incredible. It's about 30 mins from either Boone or Blowing Rock, and we got to drive on the Parkway for most of our journeys, so we got to see more incredible views! I loved the architecture of the house, and the details in the structure and furnishings, encompassing local elements and photographs. The kitchen was well-equipped for cooking a few meals, the king size bed was comfy and the room nice and dark with curtains closed. We loved the steam shower, and all linens were nice and fresh. We got to bring our dog, enjoyed the yard, nature trail together, and lounging on the deck. And the stars at night! Wow! I live in a fairly rural area, but there were so many more stars! We brought some binoculars which was fun to enhance the view of the mountains and stars. Peter was prompt to reply and kind when I messaged him. We would have loved to been able to stay for longer and hope to return! Thank you for sharing such a wonderful home on VRBO!

Very comfortable and beautifully constructed home with every need considered. Well equipped kitchen, ample seating, good bed. Very clean. The satellite internet connection is understandably a bit slow given the secluded setting but there’s plenty else to do. Especially just sit on the porch and take in the changing panorama. Loved the nature walk, the beautiful stone wall with built in bench (nice touch.) August wasn’t the season to try out the fire pit, hot tub, sauna, fireplace but those are wonderful amenities for the fall and winter. Especially appreciate being able to bring the pets!
