Stayed Sep 16, 2025The property itself was okay. The problem was that there was deafening noise coming from nearby train station work including pile driving during the two weekends we were there beginning Saturday night (11pm) to early Monday morning (4am). The neighborhood has been informed of the noisy work before we arrived but we were unaware of it since no one informed us. We notified the property manager during the first weekend asking for them to find us another place to stay the second weekend but all they offered were places an hour by public transportation from central Oxford. The property manager was not only unhelpful but pretty much told us that the deafening noise was in our minds. Unfortunately for them, the noise problem was all over the local news. Luckily, VRBO was very helpful--they helped us get a partial refund from the property manager (although it took my credit card company getting involved) and they also paid partially for a hotel we had to move to during the second weekend. Therefore, the property manager gets one star and VRBO five stars.

Stayed Apr 16, 2025We really enjoyed our stay at Mill House. The house was exactly what we needed at the end of a long vacation. The house was clean, had plenty of space including a nice garden area, and comfortable. We met the owner, who was very helpful, and talked with the property management team. They both are invested in making sure your stay is a success. I would definitely come back for another stay!

Stayed Feb 15, 2025My cousin and I went to Oxford to visit her daughter, who is studying abroad there for a semester. The check-in process was one of the easiest I've encountered, and everything we could have needed was provided for our stay. The home is a short walk to the train station and the downtown area, but far enough from everything to be nice and peaceful. We weren't able to make use of the back yard due to the weather, but it was a very nice private spot for those who are traveling in a warmer season. I would happily return to this home if I were to stay in Oxford again.

Stayed Sep 19, 2024I would have given the location and neighborhood 5 stars because it is very close to the train station, groceries or supermarket and restaurants. The property itself was very nice and comfy. However, there was NO mention of construction work and road closures going on in this area, which doubles your walking time and making the trip by taxi farther bec the property was inconveniently located between those road closures. What should have been a straightforward way becomes a much longer and more expensive taxiride. Because of these, the easy walk with luggages to the train station became more tiresome and convoluted.

Stayed Feb 9, 2024We came to Oxford to visit our daughter studying there, so were looking for a convenient location to central Oxford. This was walkable to just about everywhere we wanted to go, and was extremely convenient to the bus and train. The closure of Botley Rd. was a bit of a pain, but only in terms of getting a taxi, nothing else. It was less than a 5 min walk to the station for pick up and drop off when needed. The property itself was great for our group of three. It was clean and had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable and the house was soundproof, with little to no noise from adjoining properties, and only from outside when we had our windows open. We especially appreciated the abundance of coat hooks in the entry, as due to the changeable winter weather we kept a variety of jackets, coats and boots on hand. We had one tiny issue when we first arrived with something that had been accidentally switched off and the property company and the owner were extremely responsive and we had it resolved within the hour. All in all it was a very enjoyable stay in Oxford and I would definitely stay here again.
