Fort Worth, Texas
Perfect 3 bedroom/1.5 bath home located 2 blocks from Magnolia Ave, and just minutes from Downtown, Dickies Arena, the Stockyards, TCU, FW Zoo & so much more! The whole group will enjoy easy access to everything from this centrally located place. This spacious home was built in the early 1900's so it has the original hardwood floors and floor to ceiling windows. Complimented with the most adorable mid-century modern designs. Great find if you are visiting The Fort with friends or family!
No interaction with host until I contacted her the day before leaving for our cross-country trip. Wrong entry code for door when we arrived. No light bulbs in fixtures, but none in the main bedroom ceiling light. Front bedroom bed frame side supports were broken on both sides - cracked in half. When contacted, didn't get a response until about 10+ hours later indicating that the host already knew, but didn't have time to do anything about it before we arrived. (Yes, we did ask for a check-in at 1:30 instead of 3 after 2 days of driving, but we're told 2:15 was the best she could do - we told her we'd go do some grocery shopping instead.) In any case, the house looked like a recent flip that only got partially flipped. Kitchen is not fully stocked for cooking. Bathrooms have no towels rods or hooks - even the toilet paper roll that's in use has no home. The washing machine didn't work - ran it once. Started it in the morning and came back to the house and it was still running the spin cycle - something like 8 hours later. Again, contacted the host and heard, I'll see what I can do. Nothing was done. We ended up borrowing an air mattress from my family and washing laundry at their place. Like I said - probably should have booked a hotel.
Only thing i can say negative is that there was no microwave and no TV in the bedrooms other than that perfect home to stay.
