Loved staying in a historic Sunday House.

I appreciated that it is a historical home, and that's fine for furniture, but if you could use vintage looking bathroom fixtures in the bathroom, it would be better. Also, not linoleum on the floors.

No wifi and the TV is almost big enough to see. Quaint property close / convenient to town center.

The location and size of this property was perfect for what we needed. Check in/out was easy. Only issue is that the front door was sometimes difficult to lock when leaving the property-the lock wanted to get stuck when trying to lock it. Other than that, we had a great stay.

Loved the location. Didn’t like the bar sticking out in the bath/shower. That could be hazardous. Overall, I would stay here again!

The kitchen could use some updated utensils. The cleanliness in the kitchen could be better. If you check under the stove catch pans, you will see that it has not been cleaned. Baseboards don’t seemed to have been cleaned in a while. Doors need new seals as the cold air and I will assume heat in summer too leaks in. This is the second time we’ve stayed in this Sunday house and we do enjoy it. So maybe I’m a little more critical because I noticed more this second time. It’s a cute place and convenient to town. We love coming to Fredericksburg and the wineries. Foyt wines is our favorite!!

Perfect size for the 2 of us.

I didn’t appreciate the fact that the management company called the sheriff’s department upon my arrival to the property to verify that indeed it was only 2 people that were staying as that’s how I booked it. Did they think I was brining 20 more people with me? Never again!

Great property and great location, highly recommended for a weekend stay in the hill country.

Perfect location to walk to Main Street!

The location was ideal. The place needs a deep clean and the kitchen items need to be upgraded. But, we enjoyed our stay.

It was a real treat to be able to stay in an authentic Sunday House! It was a true bridge to the past. We walked to Church just as the owners would have done. We enjoyed coffee every morning and a nightcap every evening on the front porch swing.The house was large enough to be comfortable; small enough to be quaint. The front room and eat in kitchen gave us plenty of space to relax. The furnishings, old time closets, and overall simplicity provided us a way to experience the past with modern day comforts of hot showers, air conditioning and kitchen amenities. Just as described, it was quiet, one block from Main Street, with private off-street parking. We look forward to returning!

Little house was just fine for the two of us. We only slept there, didn’t eat or spend any daylight hours there. Everything we needed was there. Bed was comfortable, ac/heater worked well. The house had some wear spots but didn’t bother us. Pricing was reasonable and cheaper than hotel when you only need a place to sleep.Rated the wine question with a 1 star cause we do not drink it, so it wasn’t a must have.

A delightful throwback to simpler times, but with all the amenities you need. We enjoyed reading the family history of the place. Excellent location and a comfortable bed topped it off. Happy to stay there again.

Nice to be close to downtown & walk wherever we wanted to go. Felt safe & quiet area of town& we were able to walk to church just like the early settlers. Overall, great stay Metzger Sunday House.

The place was clean and the bed was comfortable. Climate control good. The supplies were lacking. No dish soap, not enough coffee to make a small pot full, no wash cloths.

Reminded me of great grandma's house... I loved learning the history of this little house. The location was perfect, we walked to most placed we wanted to go. Thank you for a wonderful mini vacation.

The house was one block from the Main Street. Wonderful location. Quiet and cute neighborhood. The house could have been cleaner and the bed was very sloped with the bottom of the bed higher than our heads. We switched and slept with our heads at the foot of the bed.

This little home was exactly as advertised. Best of all, the entire downtown was within walking distance, so we parked our car at the house when we arrived and didn't move it until we left for home.The owners were efficient and business like.

Accomodations met our expectations. Access to Fredericksburg downtown was great.Had a wonderful time.

House was cute, historical, close to Main Street. Kitchen was very sparsely furnished, very dirty sponge left for us on the sink, house is in desperate need of a good cleaning. Windows, base boards very “old” dusty, couch creases are layered in dust, grim rests, not what you would expect for a $200 a night?rental?not what

We learned what a sunday house is. The location is wonderful. There are a lot of things within walking distance.

We really loved our stay at the Metzger Sunday house. The house was well kept, clean and handy to everything in town. Fredericksburg is such a nice place to visit. We were impressed with the process and plan to use this place again.
