Stayed May 8, 2025For our daughter's college graduation, we stayed at this amazing house. After this stay, we can't imagine staying at a hotel. At a hotel, we wouldn't have been able to have half the fun, relaxing moments, or spend time in quiet, meaningful conversations, or take group photos, or do anything of the sort. Uncle would not have experienced that interesting Kupf painting of the guitar guy. Dad wouldn't have been able to relax and watch a game or two. Daughter would not have been able to welcome well-wishers, friends, her brother from Chicago, his girlfriend, and her pals with their parents in tow, to celebrate with her. Aunties festooned the house (temporarily) with grad regalia. There was a ton of laughter and hugs, and that's what the vision of this grad trip was. Would we have liked to have been closer to campus? Maybe, but we got used to the drive and found a few gem neighborhood restaurants to get takeout from (unforgettable pupusas, anyone?), and that 100% enhanced the quality of the stay. Thanks for helping make a memorable time for our family!Michael Hager

Stayed Nov 1, 2024I am leaving a review (rare for me) for all the future visitors. Past reviewers were way too generous in describing the experience at this VRBO. Nice porch on west side of house with good afternoon sun Convenient location for our trip that involved football games in West Point, Cedar Grove NJ, and MetLife (East Rutherford NJ) There is a caretaker living full time in basement which suggests this NOT a whole-house rental. Feels a little creepy when you hear his TV downstairs. Checkin, getting key, etc was done via text conversation with owner who does not live nearby. She asked us to coordinate arrival with the on-premise caretaker so he could meet (not sure why). That was a bit of a pain on timing since we had a fluid agenda on day of arrival. He didn’t do anything or give instructions to speak of. Would not recommend for a party of women only because of caretaker creepiness aspect. No parking in driveway! Street parking only. This is so the caretaker can get in and out of the driveway without having us move our car. Seems like the caretaker would be the one to park on the street. Front door does not lock. There is a chain but latch knob spins freely without doing anything. No parking in driveway! Street parking only. This is so the caretaker can get in and out of the driveway without having us move our car. Seems like the caretaker would be the one to park on the street

Stayed Sep 14, 2024A once lovely house, in need of update (windows/doors) what saved it for me was the fab art deco fittings. It must have been an amazing house back in the day.

Stayed Apr 4, 2024This house is lovely. We had plenty of room for our large family. There was a bit of ant problem, but we were able to take care of it. The house has an antique feel with modern updates. As with any older home there were a few minor issues such as doors that would not lock. Overall, our stay was a good experience and I recommend this home.

Stayed Mar 7, 2024The neighborhood is a very relaxed one, mostly older folks it seems. Grocery stores and public transportation within a few minutes. Easy access to metro north into Manhattan. Our stay was superb as our family visited just about every evening and we had fun playing indoor games. Our son’s birthday was one town over in the Bronx and it was just a 20 minutes drive or less to get there and meet up with other family members who lives in the Bronx and New Rochelle. Thank you so much Ari and Bill. Caren, RN, BSN
