Medieval rustic (ca. 800 D. C.) with ca. 1000 m2 garden, wonderful sea view. The house is located in the historic center of Portovenere, just below the church of San Lorenzo (bell tower still in use today) and at the foot of the Castle and has an area of about 110 square meters. To access the house you have to climb the steep staircase of the village (120 steps), for this reason it is not a place suitable for the disabled, the elderly and those who have difficulty walking. Stayed Sep 12, 2024We had a great week at this rental. Portovenere is lovely. As other reviewers have mentioned, there are many stairs to the property, pack accordingly. The renovations they've done on this property so far are really nice. The older portions of the rental reflect the price point. The furniture, kitchen appliances, and cups etc are all a bit cobbled together and could use an upgrade but that will probably come as the renovations are completed and the price is raised. The views from the 2 decks and the patio are worth the stairs. All in all, I would totally stay here again.

Stayed Jul 12, 2022Stunning views, lovely private gardens and terraces, charming house. Wonderful vantage point from which to explore Portovenere and Cinque Terre. House well equipped for travellers.

Stayed Jun 19, 2021Amazing view over the city and the ocean. Very private and with its own spacious garden. You have to be a bit fit as there are a lot of stairs to climb. Better pack light, also as parking is an issue.
