Relaxing large home, close to the lake and hiking for our summer vacation

Overall, the house was wonderful! Well stocked with household items, plenty of space, cute decor, good location, comfortable! Only complaint is that only 1 out of 3 televisions were hooked up to cable. We called the realtor and 2 days later a person came out to the house. The man wasn’t able to figure out the issue.

Although the home was clean and we loved the outdoor area, we were disappointed in a few things that we were not expecting. My son loves to fish so wanted to bring his boat and after looking at several places before booking, i felt this one had the best parking option for this. The description of the property did not state that parking for boats was not available as this is a property for the deep creek lake area, i assumed that parking the boat there would not be an issue. After arriving we were informed that he would have to park the boat and trailer in an area 15-20 minutes away from the house. This was a hugh concern for my son and he was very uncomfortable with this. We were informed that this was somewhere in the rental agreement as a part of HOA agreement and it may have been but this was a specific area of concern when I was looking for a place to stay with my family so I would like to see it listed in the description so it is known before booking. The only other issue was the upstairs bathroom shower (the bathroom attached to the bedroom) the water was warm only . We were never able to get the shower hot so had to take our showers in the main floor bathroom that we intended for my son and DIL. We loved the firepit area and spent alot of time there.

This property is tucked back for privacy but close to everything! Very clean, and the decor was impressive! We loved our stay and will definitely rent this home or from Taylor again. Super comfortable and relaxing. Especially enjoyed a fire both nights!

Excellent property. Interior was well decorated for that cabin feel. The house was located in the woods but not far from things to do and close to the lake.

Close to town, the lake and hiking. The house was clean and well supplied. Slept 4 adults very well. It may be a little tricky with small children because the twin beds are on lowest floor with a door to the outside. Just a consideration. We enjoyed our stay.

My family (7 people with one infant) had a very comfortable stay at this property over a summer weekend. We enjoyed eating on the deck. It was very serene and private, but also extremely close to the lake and everywhere we wanted to go. Our only gripe is that the knives in the kitchen were quite dull and three people cut their fingers during our trip, and we would have liked an additional cutting board for cooking. Be sure to bring your own salt, pepper, and cooking oil. However, all in all this was a wonderful stay!

We loved the home and it’s location….wonderful layout for two families (two couples and three teens). Home had a great layout…lots of places to gather and enough space to retreat as well. Great location for restaurants and skiing at Wisp. We want to come back in warmer weather to make use of the outside decks and fire pit. Highly recommend.
