Stayed Dec 24, 2025Nice yard and sufficient parking. Place was a bit run down and tired. Popcorn ceiling in the dining area was peeling and hanging down, counter top either side of the range was stained from probably a previous install? Seems that the neighbors use the garbage can when they think no one was there since it magically was overflowing and moved to street leaving us with bags of garbage that they wouldn’t take when we set them by the can. Overall was fine but would probably try somewhere else next time.

Stayed Mar 12, 2025Our recent stay at Maxine's Place was just what we were looking for - welcoming, clean, quiet and great location. We have stayed in numerous vacation rentals, and Maxine's Place ranks right up there in the top. Nathan was exceptionally helpful and did a great job making us feel welcome and like family. We were visiting family in Abilene, and will absolutely plan to stay at Maxine's Place on future visits! Definitely 5 stars!
