Mas Des Fleurs - Heated pool - Child friendly gardens - Beach 10mins

Beautiful pool. Very relaxing place, friendly family atmosphere. Location is great for city, sea and mountains and the market and art gallery in Ceret. Not as close to Perpignan for walking as we’d first thought so we used the car as it was only a week’s visit and we were keen to optimise getting out and sightseeing, though mornings were generally very chilled around the pool with a book. Cool New York loft vibe in mimosa house interior decor. Not for anyone with mobility issues due to spiral staircase. And who doesn’t like being treated by a daily morning hello as if you’re their favourite person by the dogs Dottie and Luis even though you know it’s cupboard love. Could be ok without a car, as many destinations are reachable by train so just bike or taxi to the station.

We normally stay in city centre locations but were seduced by the idyllic garden setting of Maison des Fleurs - and are glad we tried something different. Our time was split between relaxing days by the pool, excursions to local beaches and day trips to historic towns and cultural centres in and around Perpignan and the Roussillon area. James and his family were excellent hosts - James gave us some good tips for our stay based on his extensive experience of the region. If you are considering a relaxing break in the Perpignan Area, we would wholeheartedly recommend Maison des Fleurs. Thanks James.+ fam.

A lovely comfortable property set in a delightful garden setting. It was late in the season, mid October, peaceful yet warm and sunny everyday, unlike home (England). Very well appointed kitchen made doing some cooking a pleasure. Very friendly welcome and communications. Thank you. Plenty of great places to visit ( car needed) in the area.

I can’t recommend Mas des Fleurs highly enough. We had such a wonderful time there, neither of us wanted to leave. It’s in a really beautiful setting with lovely gardens and an awesome pool. Ten mins from the beach and ten mins from Perpignan centre but really peaceful and quiet. The annexe we were in was really comfortable, spacious and well equipped. We had our own terrace for alfresco dining and even got a bottle of delicious rosé on arrival! James was on hand to answer questions and provide recommendations for excellent restaurants, bars, vineyards and things to do. What more could you ask for? We can’t wait to come back!

We stayed for 1 week at James’s 2 bed converted barn with our your family. The house, garden and pool are all fantastic, clean and well appointed. James was so helpful in recommending and booking great restaurants for us to go to that served excellent food and where child friendly. The house is a short drive to the beach or walk into Perpignan centre. We are looking forward to returning!

What a wonderful place to spend our holidays, James & Ilona couldn't have been more helpful. We stayed in the Olive house which was perfect especially the lovely decking where we spent many evenings enjoying the garden and peace & quiet. The heated pool is an absolute gem and we made good use of it , we also used the bikes to get in to Perpignan which is a fascinating place quite a mixed history. So we would thoroughly recommend this property & we arrived home via the TGV and Eurostar with batteries fully recharged!

James was a fantastic host. Mimosa house was very quaint. Good sized rooms, one bathroom and very functional kitchen. Would definitely go again.

Our stay in Mimosa House at Mas de Fleurs was perfect for our 2 week summer holiday. The accommodation is modern, clean and very well equipped and sits within a beautifully landscaped garden. Our children aged 9 & 7 loved the pool as well as the play areas within the garden. We made the most of the bbq within the private courtyard too. Mas de Fleurs is a great base for exploring the region, in particular the short drive to the coast. El Racou beach was our particular favourite, a grainy sandy beach which never got too busy. There were also some good places to eat there. Overall Mimosa House gave us everything we wanted for our holiday and we highly recommend it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the Gite suited us perfectly. The pool was a bonus, lovely temperature that enabled us to enjoy it in October.
