Maritime holiday home secluded on the dike

Surrounded by an idyllic wooded landscape, Andrea and Ralf’s house sits on an old 13th-century dike. From here, you have a sweeping view of the Eiderstedt peninsula with its marshes and dikes. The nearby sea and the diverse flora and fauna invite you to take long walks and bike rides in the immediate surroundings.



The interior of the house has been completely renovated but has retained its special charm as an old 1930s dike cottage. A wall design inspired by the sea andlovingly selected furnishings create a maritime living atmosphere. The heart of the house is the large kitchen-diner on the ground floor, featuring a dining table and a tiled stove. On the same level, you’ll find the bedroom with a cozy queen-size double bed. From here, you have a direct view of the lovingly designed garden with its numerous secluded spots.



Enjoy long evenings with a glass of wine on the terrace by the campfire, or make yourself comfortable on the large sofa under the pointed roof on the upper floor. The adjoining balcony, with sweeping views of the surrounding pastures, promises a pure sense of freedom. Here you can soak up the sun during the day and enjoy the incredible sight of the sunset on the horizon in the evening.



Good to know: 2 dogs are very welcome here—however, the property is fenced in on only three sides facing the street.



Due to the adjacent street and the sheep, goat, and horse paddocks immediately bordering the property, we recommend keeping your four-legged friends on a leash while on the property. We are happy to provide you with a long leash.



The staircase leading to the living room on the upper floor is a steep, space-saving staircase. It is less suitable for guests who have difficulty walking as well as for dogs.



During periods when the property is unoccupied, the driveway to the property is monitored by camera.
