Stayed Dec 20, 2025This is a great value for the price, especially for a two-bedroom ADU in Redwood City. The space is clean, comfortable, and well-appointed — plenty of dishes, silverware, pots and pans, an induction burner, coffee maker with coffee, creamer & sugar, and a large dorm-style fridge, which worked well for everyday meals. Linens were clean, beds were comfortable, and the unit feels thoughtfully set up despite a DIY build style. The shared, enclosed backyard with AstroTurf is nice and worked well for a short stay with my dog - we had enough room to play ball with her. I never felt unsafe during my stay. Some of the gates and doors can be a bit finicky to close, but it didn’t impact comfort or peace of mind.Communication with the host was excellent — responsive, clear, and easy throughout. Overall, a solid, comfortable option and a very good value for what you’re paying.

Stayed Oct 21, 2025Pictures of facilities were way out of date. Structure is falling apart. We tried to contact host about door frame and lock extremely loose and hardly closing but no response. Also false advertising. Said oven but a toaster oven and oven are two different things. No mat to wipe feet off on. Walkway or alley way was cluttered with debris which was brought into structure and made for more floor cleaning constantly. Light fixture in one room was so dim when turned on you couldn’t tell it was on. Outer screen doors to alleyway and main door were all bent up and frame so loose it would not close. Very scary when locks are failing. A small hotel like fridge made it hard to bring in groceries. The good things was good bathroom and kitchen sink. And ample hot water. Beds were pretty soft. Washer and dryer in the garage was kind of scary at night due to area location and bad locks. This facility needs to be repaired. I would not recommend staying here unless you can’t find anything else. The price was good but you get what you pay for. Didn’t feel safe at times even with people coming up to our door to ask questions.

Stayed Oct 2, 2025The place was just okay. There was a regular coffee pot, but no coffee. Typically there is coffee provided, waters and some condiments. parking is a small space if you have two vehicles you will be parking on the street if you can find itThe beds were comfortable. Just request extra towels.

Stayed Aug 17, 2025Our family stayed for just under 1 month while we were finishing a remodel. The rental was functional and met our needs, though there were some challenges. On warm days there were ants that came inside from various points. There were also several days where there were power outages due to work being done on the property. On one occasion this meant we had to stay in a hotel for the night (which the owner covered). The hot water also took a very long time to heat up. However, the host was very communicative and helpful, which I appreciated. And everything inside the rental worked as advertised.

Stayed Sep 16, 2025Safe neighborhood and easy check in/out. The beds are very comfortable and everything was in place and worked as listed. Management was very responsive and attentive. We loved that it was walking distance from some local restaurants that were delicious! We would stay there again.

Stayed Aug 7, 2025The stay was nice, the place is comfortable. The only thing that would make it excellent is if the entry door would be replace, or fix the deadbolt and top door security. The deadbolts strike plate on the jamb is loose and not holding very well

Stayed May 31, 2025This property was not checked by management for our arrival. Hot water was not turned on; hot plate didn’t work. The beds were very comfortable which is why we stayed. This is a bare min. property…No lounge area, no kitchen range (as advertised), TV in 1 bdrm only, gaps around the door, missing cover plate . Webs in the corners. Also I was concerned for my safety with no hand rails in the shower.

Stayed Jan 22, 2025I was traveling with two coworkers for work in San Francisco, and we stayed for almost two weeks. The location was great, the parking was fine, the beds were comfortable, the place was clean and reasonably quiet, the internet worked fine, and the communication with the host was fine. Our only suggestion is that the host might want to add non-skid tape to the shower floor - it can be pretty slippery. We would definitely stay here again.

Stayed Nov 13, 2022The place was always cold. The inverters (heaters) in each room were old and inefficient. The digital readouts on these inverters were too bright for sleeping. Additionally, there are sky lights in each of the bedrooms which let in way too much light at night. The place is old. Further, the parking was a long ways from the unit and I didn't trust the neighborhood to leave my car safe at night. They also requested that I clean the dishes, which I had only 2 dishes and 3 pieces of silverware. But why am I paying so much in cleaning fees? I actually got another VRBO for the final night because I was so uncomfortable in this place.

Stayed Jun 10, 2022My friend and I stayed here for 10 weeks, and we couldn't wait to leave. This listing is clearly not built for extended stays. From the get-go, the listing said there was a dishwasher. There is no dishwasher in the unit. Since we planned to do a lot of cooking during our 10 weeks, this was a big deal for us. The listing also said there was a stove and oven, but in the fine print of the details lies the truth: it's only a single induction stove-top and a little mini-oven that couldn't fit anything, further limiting our cooking options. The property managers told us that every 28 days, a cleaning crew would come in and clean everything. No cleaning crew every showed (and we know this because we kept track of each 28th day and the house never looked cleaner, even after we came back). While my roommate and I were more than happy to clean up after ourselves, and we did, it's more the fact that the property managers completely lied about this cleaning staff coming in. My roommate and I were both here for computer science internships, so naturally, Wi-Fi was a big necessity. I had inquired about the Wi-Fi strength prior to moving in to the residence, and we had been promised speeds of 35 mbps. Once we arrived, we were getting top speeds of 2-3 mbps. We immediately complained, and the property managers said they would contact the Wi-Fi company. This went on for awhile, until one day, the Wi-Fi completely went out. I messaged the property managers and they sent a link saying that the Wi-Fi was out in the neighborhood. My roommate and I were satisfied with this for a couple days, but we kept noticing that all our neighbors' had Wi-Fi. We kept messaging, resorting to messaging every day, and we kept getting non-responses. Finally, after a MONTH with no Wi-Fi, the property managers replaced our router. After replacing our router, the Wi-Fi worked again. What really upset us was that we had spent a month telling them that there was an issue with the router and it needed replacement, and they had kept sending back the same thing, not taking our concerns seriously. Issues with the Wi-Fi happened a few more times, and since we didn't have access to the router (it was in the main house), they had to fix it. Each time we had to be persistent and message every day in order to get someone to come reset the router, and each time they kept sending back the EXACT SAME LINK as the first time, which we had already shown did not apply to us, before relenting.
