Stayed Jun 19, 2023The property was lovely and comfortable. The location was ideal for exploring the town of Montefiascone and the area. It was perfectly quiet at night, even though it’s located adjacent to a little piazza. The WiFi was also flawless and provided a great place to get some work done, too. Having a washing machine was great! A few concerns: I was surprised that only one roll of toilet paper was supplied, so I had to buy more. I was provided with a very specific schedule of when to put out trash and recyclables but no extra bags were provided for when they were emptied. Only one bed had sheets and pillowcases even though I told the caretaker that my cousin and I were staying; it was why I booked a two-bedroom house, so that we would not sleep in the same bed. The caretaker told me that it was my fault for not specifying to make up two beds. Overall, everything was great and I would stay again. However, Luca was not there so I dealt with someone else who seemed to become defensive or annoyed whenever I asked a question, so I quit asking questions. I didn’t dare ask about toilet paper or extra trash bags. He reminded me about three times that check out time was at 10:00 a.m. I loved the place but didn’t really feel very welcome. It seemed different from what I had read about other guests’ experiences with Luca’s hospitality.

Stayed Jul 7, 2019I spent a week in this lovely house. Perfectly situated in the center of the village, near cafes and restaurants run by charming people. Kitchen was ample for preparing breakfast and light meals. Convenient parking and easy access to roads leading to Tuscany, Umbria, and Rome. Easy day trips to Orvieto, Montepulciano, Spoleto, Todi, even Perugia. Luca/host was responsive to emails and phone calls, but also respected our privacy. I would stay here again.

Stayed Jun 12, 2019You couldn’t find a better location in Montefiascone. Walk to shops, restaurants, museum & gardens. The house is cozy and charming. We had a bit of trouble with the front door lock but Luca came promptly and took care of it. My favorite nook was the window seat - sat there each evening with a glass of wine and soaked up the gorgeous view!

Stayed Apr 27, 2019This house was everything we hoped it would be, so full of character and history. Unfortunately Luca the owner was not able to meet us when we arrived as he was working but he was very helpful in assisting us to locate the free parking via email. Be warned, the house is not luxurious but what it is is beautiful and great value for money. It is very cosy and there is lots of hot water, a washing machine and everything you need in the kitchen to make a meal. The only gripe we have is that the fridge was switched off when we arrived and was putrid with green mould and what appeared to be spilt milk which had gone off. This was easily cleaned however and did not detract from the wonderful experience we had. Thankyou so much Luca for allowing us to stay in you wonderful home. PS. Make sure you make contact with the local winery ‘ Antica Cantina Leonardi’ to arrange a wine tasting evening meal and tour of the cellars. Absolutely amazing wine, food and people and only a few minutes walk from the house.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969After a tedious arrival by car. (there was a festival in the village & many of the roads were blocked so it took us a while to figure out) Greeted warmly by Luca and his lovely wife. Parking was a bit difficult, but they figured it out for us. Once the festival was over it was fine. The home is quite spacious and fairly well provisioned. (no microwave) It was a bit musty smelling, but being 500 years old is not surprising. Nothing that open windows and fresh air didn't fix. One caution, the staircase is stone, very steep and worn. Tough for kids or older folks. Location is great. Great value! Make time to visit Civita Bagnoreggio - fabulous!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969two years ago we first visited Montefiscone for a stay in this beautiful property and to explore the many attractions offered within this town and its surrounds. This part of Lazio is well worth visiting and to this end a visit the tourist office close to the Manor House would be worthwhile. The house however was a star attraction and one of the best properties we have enjoyed in the twenty years we have been visiting Italy, so much so that we returned again this year. Our thanks to Simone and his brothers for the co-operation and attention extended
