Bowling Green, Kentucky
Hi. This is a perfect farmhouse for week day trips, family vacations, and touring Bowling Green. Places like Mammoth Cave ( 35 min ), Beech Bend Park (25 min away), Kenny Perry Golf course (23 min).
After you afternoon excursions you can relax by the stocked firepit or curl up in the hammock. I also have an entire house is on 5 acres and all to yourselves. The house is secluded on a large farm, but 10 minutes from the nearest interstate exchange. The house has 3 huge bedrooms- 1 room with a 2 full size beds. Another room has one full size bed with a sliding mattress under it and a queen size bed. The last room has a full size bed and a twin bed. A total of 7 beds. All beds are upstairs with a set of stairs to each separate bedroom. It has a large kitchen and a dining room downstairs. New furniture in the living room with plenty of seating. The bathroom has a tub/shower combination and has towels for 8 guests daily. It is located on a farm with a long driveway for parking. Super fast WiFi is now available! Not really handicap accessible as all beds are upstairs. The house also has a washer and dryer, blender, microwave, can opener, and Keurig. Ask me for anything in particular if you need it.
This was the perfect location for my family from WI and NC to meet up. Everyone had plenty of space and plenty to do. The dogs and kids loved the yard. We liked that a major city was close, but neighbors were far. The house is spacious, comfortable and beautiful. Being from Wisconsin, we were delighted not to find the old house drafty. Every thing was clean and easy to find. All the modern items one needs to run a household were present. We visited Mammoth Cave, Lost River Cave, the Corvette Museum, Aviation Park, Vett City Antiques and Be Happy Yoga. The nature trail at Lost River was lovely. Kroger, Amoco, Sheldon Pharmacy, Liquor Warehouse and Dunken were just up the road. Dunken even made a special batch of doughnuts for us! We also tried Sonnys BBQ. We were busy, but we also played Atari, Nintendo, took naps and enjoyed quiet meals. We read a history book and learned about the property and area. The weather was windy and gloomy so we didn't try the hot tub or huge fire ring. But we did enjoy coffee on the beautiful porch each morning. We all miss the mossy green couch, large bath tub and private steps. Jackie was the definition of Southern Hospitality. The kids cried when we drove away, we'd love to return.
Very quiet country home. We enjoyed everything!
We loved just being able to go and stay on the property enjoying the views and room to run and play my kids want a farm house now recommend for a family that wants to disconnect from electrics and spend time together
Our family loves staying here. This was our second stay and hope to return again! Jackie is so easy to work with. Check in and out is a breeze. Great family getaway!
An absolute gem. Love the old farmhouse and the location.
We loved staying at this house! The pictures do not do it justice. Jackie was very nice and helpful. There were a few things that took a little getting used to (i.e. the very small bathroom, which was only a problem because so many of us were sharing, and the kitchen was a little old fashioned, don't try to bake a cake in the oven, lol) but only one thing that was actually a problem. The big problem was the houses accessibility. The listing claims to be wheelchair accessible and while the inside of the house is (if you don't mind sleeping on a futon and bringing your own shower chair) the entrance is not! To get into the house you have to walk from the driveway through grass to get to the front porch, and then there is a step up onto the porch itself. Very inconvenient! The step makes the inside of the house's accessibility meaningless, if you can't get in it's not accessible.
The farmhouse dating back to the 1800's was as advertised. The host was excellent
Extremely peaceful and relaxing. I would definitely stay again.
We had plenty of room for our group and all of the beds were very comfortable. The host was wonderful as well!
We enjoyed our stay immensely. Beautiful home and super quiet.
This is a beautifully renovated house set in a very quiet, relaxing country setting but still close to Franklin and Bowling Green. There was plenty of room for everyone indoors and out and we really enjoyed the rocking chairs on the front porch in the morning and the evening.
lovely stay in a very unique and interesting house. so peaceful and quiet. My dogs absolutely loved the acres of nicely mowed grass; so much room to sniff and run. and a real treat to walk into a well cooled house in August! thank you Jackie! check in and check out. super easy!
