The host was very good ,the house worked very well for our group.

The house was amzing! Plenty of space for a very large extended family stay. The outdoor/indoor with fireplace area was beautiful. Spa clean and easy to use. Kitchen had everything needed. Loved the pair of white ducks that were always around. We had a great time. Thanks

The property well and truly catered for a large family group celebration. Everyone had privacy and room to spread out for down time. The outdoor fire, bar area and spa was a huge hit. The host communicated promptly and was flexible with my requests which was greatly appreciated.

Perfect resort style home for one or more families or group of friends. Comfortable beds. Activities to keep our teens entertained the whole time and the parents. Great home for entertaining. My favourite spot was sitting in the room by the lake in front of the fire, ideal place to relax. Highly recommend.

We stayed in this property a year ago before my sister died. We returned to mark her 1st year anniversary. It is beautiful and was just what our family needed. The whole process is easy and I highly recommend this property. Our 2 year old grandson adores playing in the yard, partiuclarly the trampoline and cubby house. Having breakfast in the sun room overlooking the pond is heaven.

Nice and Roomy , Good zones to chill out if you want some privacy , younger children loved the fishing as the adults taught them ,great secure section for dogs to roam around , nice relaxed atmosphere well priced for what the owners are offering .

The property was clean and spacious. Perfect for our family of 19 to celebrate Dad's 80th birthday.Plenty of activities to do, great spaces for relaxing, eating and cooking.Close proximity to the town centre. Beautiful home and beautiful place.Thank you

We spent a fabulous 4 days at Mackaloucoo Retreat MR1. The house is enormous - lots of room to spread out. The kids loved spending time in the hot tub during the day, and the adults enjoyed the hot tub at night. We even attempted to catch fish in the pond but were unsuccessful.Sam and Andy respond quickly to any enquiries.

The property was fabulous. Travelled with our family of 8 adults & 4 children. So much space for all. We took a dinghy with us & loved the 'dam' for paddling & fishing.2 fish were hooked & released. A real highlight!! The spa was great & the enclosed play area was perfect for children & our dog. Thanks for having this property available. We loved it!!

Great house set up for our group of family and friends. Was clean and what it showed. Sam the property manager was wonderful to deal with! Great place and stay , we will all be back!!!

We had a very relaxing stay. Kids loved the pool & trampoline & watching the wildlife around the lake. Location was great - only a couple of minutes from Cowes.

If you are looking for a property that has everything this is it. I can highly recommend this magical property that me and my family stayed in for 7 days over the xmas period. It ticked the box for everyone plus plus plus. We hardly went into town as we were so happy with the property. There was plenty to do. The kids and the dogs had the time of their lives while the parents sat back and relaxed in revelled in the perfect family home. This house has soul, and we enjoyed every single second. We all agree was the perfect house for a large family and fur friends. Will be re booking next xmas and many more xmas to come. THANKYOU for creating this incredible environment for me and my family to share. 11/10

MR1 is a beautiful, spacious property in a serene setting. Five siblings and their spouses spent an enjoyable and relaxing family time from Friday to Monday at this property. A few improvements to some of the amenities could make the customer experience even greater.

We stayed here with 3 families with toddlers; house was really great for entertaining guests whilst the little ones slept; backyard is secure to keep the dogs and the kids from running off. Location was really quiet felt very relaxing. Cleanliness of property was lacking and maintenance was lacking but overall would recommend

We had a fantastic stay. The property had plenty of space and is in a short drive to Cowes and the GP circuit which was beneficial for us. We would definitely stay again!

We had a boys trip with a large group, this property was perfect for that. Great location, great amenities

This was the third time we’ve been to this holiday house over the years, and we’ve always had a great time with family. This time we weren’t as happy with the house as it looks as though it’s been neglected over the years. It’s starting to show its age and no love has been put back into it. There were no batteries in the remote for one tv and couldn’t find remotes for 2 ther tvs. There were no fish in the dam. There was one dart for the dart board. All the table tennis balls were squashed.the range hood fan was putrid. The gas heater in the lounge room was broken and had a handwritten message in it saying it was for decoration only. ( there was plenty of heating there but it should have still been fixed) we fished for hours in the dam so I’m sure there were no fish in the dam which is disappointing for kids. We still had a great time, but just disappointed with how little love is in the house and how it’s declined over the years. Sadly we won’t be back
