Everything was amazing! The kitchen is stocked with all the goodies we needed.
We loved our stay at Bear Lake Reserve. The location was perfect for our multi-family vacation and we stayed busy with hiking, swimming, kayaking, and playing pickleball. The home itself was comfortable and well equipped, however the cleanliness was a little lacking when we arrived - the floors had crumbs and scuffs of mud which I was surprised to see, there was evidence of shaving residue in the main bathroom sink, the carpet (especially on the the stairs) was dirty and looked like it hadn't been vacuumed. It looked as if the porches hadn't been cleaned following the pollen season. However the kitchen, bedrooms, and the rest of the bathrooms were clean and comfortable and we had an enjoyable stay. The only other issue was that neither of the available air mattresses seemed to hold air overnight, my only word of caution is that this house is advertised as sleeping 10 but that would have to include the 2 air mattresses. There are 3 sizable rooms with king size bed (sleeping 6) and two twin beds (sleeps 2) in the attic above the garage (this space does not have air vents but was cool enough with fans and open windows in the evening). There is plenty of floor space in the attic for air mattresses to increase the sleeping space. Overall we would stay here again, but I do hope the air mattresses are replaced and the cleaners are encouraged to do a better job.
We thoroughly enjoyed the home…..first class property!!
The home is perfect in so many ways for a memorable family reunion. Our kids and grandkids had a wonderful time. The large kitchen, dining area and family room gave us plenty of space for cooking, eating and being together. We'll always cherish the memories.
This was our first time to the area and we are so grateful for the home. It was just beautiful and perfect for us. The kitchen is well stocked and great for cooking. The multiple fireplaces added such warmth. There are good mountain views. We did have dinner at the restaurant there and our food was delicious. It's nice to drive 5 min to a wonderful meal with a view of the mountains and the lake. Should we return to the area, we would definitely stay again. The home has all you need for a relaxing vacation. I wish other homes were as well out together as this one.
Beautiful home with great space for us all to spread out and be comfortable. We loved the porches, views and outdoor fireplace. House was well appointed.
My husband and I invited our adult children and spouses for a stay at Bear Lake Reserve. We were not disappointed! The home was nothing like we have ever stayed. There was rooms and outdoor space everywhere. We were treated by staff as if we were the owners instead of renters. The lake is not huge, but made up for by its beauty. We kayaked and relaxed at the quiet lakefront beach. We played pickle ball and dIsc golf. There just wasn’t enough time to do everything we wanted. We were welcomed to participate in a outdoor family picnic and live music at The Point. Everyone really enjoyed our family time at Bear Lake Reserve!!!
This house is pretty awesome. Very large and lots of space. Great views out the back porch. I would stay here again. Only 2 things to be aware of are that it takes a while to get up the mountain. This is house is somewhat secluded from things to do in the area without decent drive. Also, the bedroom on 3rd floor is pretty isolated from others with no restroom. In all a great house. Very clean and would reccommend to anyone. Just wanted to share those couple facts to help others out.
We loved our stay. The house was immaculate, and stocked better than any house we've ever rented. We definitely plan on renting again.
My family has been going to the NC mountains for 30 years. This was one of the best homes we have rented. It has 3 master suites and a very cute 4th bedroom for kids! The house is gorgeous with wonderful views from every room. It is very secluded, but is close to the wonderful amenities at the Bear Lake Reserve resort. I liked the security of this gated community and every person we dealt with at the resort was more helpful then the next. We will stay here again for sure. Ken
