Everything was absolutely perfect! I wanted a quiet getaway and I couldn’t ask for anything better. The backyard was so relaxing and peaceful and I enjoyed watching the squirrels, deer, birds and neighbors cats. One day I sat under a tree and read for a couple hours. The house is very clean, I don’t think I’ve ever stayed anywhere that clean and they are not joking about it being well stocked, it has everything you could ever imagine needing. This place was amazing, I will definitely be back in the future!!

Four of us went to celebrate my birthday! The moment we walked in we were just so excited! The warmth and each room just adorable! We cooked in the kitchen, spent time in the living room watching movies and it was so cozy w the fireplace on. We made a fire in the fire pit, sat in the hot tub. Shelby spent time with the details, there was nothing we needed that wasn't there (even a fan!) She even labeled some things. We will definitely be back! It wasn't walking distance for us, but just a few min drive to the shops and restaurants! We loved this house and communication was great. You won't be disappointed! We will be back for sure.

This is likely the best VRBO we have stayed at. I wont go into all the details but this place has it all. The kitchen is actually stocked and not that it has an extra fork... it has everything you could need and would normally use in your own house (plus more). Hot tub was great, peaceful neighborhood, games to play, beds are comfortable. Look no further, this is the place.

The house is even more beautiful in person. The owners were kind and very communicative which was very appreciated when I panicked not realizing it was a gas fire place. We are looking forward to staying here in the future!

We stayed at this lovely home to celebrate my daughter's 19th birthday and had a wonderful time. The house itself was beautiful, with charming decor and comfortable beds. The property was well-stocked with everything we needed, and we particularly enjoyed playing the country legends on the record player, a nice touch since my daughter loves old country music. The outdoor spaces were delightful, with a cozy and inviting atmosphere, and the hot tub added to our relaxation. There were plenty of games and toys for both indoor and outdoor activities, which kept everyone entertained. We had a great time shopping and dining at local restaurants. Overall, it was a delightful stay, and we thoroughly enjoyed the property and its amenities.

Shelby Haus was by far the best rental we have ever experienced! The HOME is just that, like staying at your friends perfectly decorated, cleaned and equipped home. They thought of everything you could possibly need and then some. Both beds were nice and comfy. Melissa and Tim have raised the bar on our expectations. My husband and I brought my parents to Fredericksburg for their 60th anniversary. This was there first time to Fredericksburg or staying in a bed & breakfast. They were so happy with everything....town, home, winery (only made it to one tasting), peaches, shops, and museum. When we needed R&R time in the afternoons, the backyard provides the wild life we love...plants, birds (beauyiful cardinals) and deers which are plentifil with the creek running on the backside of the property. We are already talking to different family members to plan our next couples trip with hopes of staying at Shelby Haus for our future visits as we enjoy all the wineries, restaurants and shops.
