Heber Springs, Arkansas
A trip to Leprechaun Landing is the ultimate in family fun and relaxation! Situated along the banks of the Little Red River in the exclusive Lindsey's Resort, this home away from home oasis boasts luxury, convenience and privacy. At 2000 square feet with 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen this home has everything you need for a short weekend jaunt or even an extended stay. Relax indoors and savor all that the home has to offer, including board games, high-speed internet, smart TV's in every room with a large movie library, a selection of books for every taste and a modern indoor kitchen for the culinarily inclined. If you are more outdoorsy you may prefer the outdoor kitchen (with large Weber gas grill, Pit Boss pellet smoker, full-size sink and apartment-sized mini-fridge) located on the large deck with adjacent play yard for kids. Enjoy cocktails (bring your own, Cleburne County is DRY) on the spacious lighted deck and gather by the propane-powered fire pit table or bring your own firewood for the fire pit in the very back of the yard. The interior yard is fenced with a low fence and there is a taller fence around the pool area, which also contains the hot tub. There is also a chain link dog pen for times when your furbabies will be outside unattended. You will also find outdoor games, such as a ping-pong table and Bag-O boards, or relaxing in the hammock or in a lounge chair by the pool may be more your speed. When the day is done go back inside for a soak in the tub in the hall bathroom or turn on the body jets in the master bath shower for a massage while you wash away the cares of the day.
Have water lovers in your group You will have many options to get your fix here at Leprechaun Landing! Enjoy fun in the sun at the private, on-premises saltwater pool that includes a waterfall feature. The pool is open from the beginning of March through the middle of November (weather permitting). If soaking and relaxing is more your style there is a 6 person hot tub available for your (and 5 of your closest friends') pleasure. If you are feeling adventurous but don't want to travel, you can always wander down into the resort to play at the public pool (when open), or rent a kayak, canoe, flat-bottom boat or mini pontoon boat or simply fish for trout off the dock in the Little Red River. The Little Red River holds the World Record for the laargest Brown Trout ever caught in May of 1992 at 40 pounds and 4 ounces. Bring your fishing pole and you can purchase any type of bait you like in the gift shop. If you are a seasoned fisherman (or even one who requires a little more help) be sure and take a guided tour with one of the resort's expert fishing guides. These guys are phenomenal and will astound you with their vast knowledge of the flora and fauna and the history that this stunning area has to offer. A half-day often seems too short, so definitely book the full day tour if you have the time. If an even larger (and warmer) body of water is more what you have in mind, Greers Ferry Lake is but a 4 mile car ride away. Plan to spend at least one day visiting the lake as there is lots of fun to be had there. You can have lots of fun swimming in the swimming areas, diving off the cliffs or just watching the world go by. There are grills and picnic tables available for use if you choose to bring a picnic lunch. The marinas offer pontoon boat rental and watersport equipment such as skis, kneeboards, wakeboards and innertubes.
The Heber Springs area offers plenty of fun for the land lovers in the group as well! Just up the river from Lindsey's Resort is the Fish Hatchery. It is a short trip upstream to learn about the rainbow trout that are produced there in order to restock the Little Red River. Time spent here is well-spent learning about the ecosystem of this area from their friendly and knowledgeable staff. Just up the river towards the dam is JFK park, which has a wonderful camping area and does offer some hiking as well. Other beautiful places to hike include Mossy Bluff National Nature Trail, Collins Creak Trailhead, Josh Park Memorial Trail Jeff Anderson Trail, Hidden Pond, Sugarloaf Mountain and many more breathtaking areas to stretch your legs. Other fun things to do in Heber include dining in quaint restaurants, shopping in the plethora of well-stocked antique stores, (and of course the ubiquitous Wal Mart) bowling, skating and sightseeing. The resort also has an upscale restaurant on the river with delicious food and friendly staff. Currently the hours are 5-8 PM Friday and Saturday nights by reservation only.
Our repeat guests love this area and return year after year. They discover something new and exciting with each visit. We hope to host you at Leprechaun Landing very soon!
Sibling reunion with kiddos! We are 6 adults (ages 48-33) and 4 kids (ages 5-9mo) and we all fit easily in this amazing house with a pool and hot tub…and on a river!! One of the best stocked kitchens I’ve seen in a rental. Games, pool toys, blankets, and fun galore! I can’t say enough how amazing and responsive Sara was. Anything we needed… she delivered! With helpful suggestions on where to eat (Pizza Pie-Zazz!), where to find things, or showing up on a holiday weekend to help us with something at the house! She was so considerate and just a joy to talk to. We went into town to take the kiddos to the train museum, but other than that we stayed at the house and enjoyed the amazing outdoor space to bbq, lounge, and catch up! If you’re looking for the perfect getaway to reconnect or relax… this is most definitely it!
Enjoined it very much
The home was fabulous! It had everything we needed and then some. We saw deer in the back lot every morning and afternoon. Sara was a fabulous host! We will definitely be back!
Great stay for our family loved the pool.
We had the most wonderful time . The property was beautiful and so relaxing . The pool and the hot tub were such an added a benefit . There was plenty of room for everyone . The owner was so easy and pleasant to deal with . We will definitely be back ! This has got to be one of the best places in the area to stay
Great house and patio area- enjoyed being so close to Lindsay’s rainbow resort, within walking distance to fishing and the restaurante but secluded pool area and house was a nice retreat. Would definitely rent again
We all loved our stay. We all loved the pool and the area was very nice, would recommend for a family vacation. We went on several hikes around the area and enjoyed the waterfalls and pretty creeks. Sara was very nice and helped with any questions. Thank you for sharing your home!
Amazing house, pool and backyard. Everything you need is here! Well stocked kitchen with spices and condiments. Cool coffee bar. No need to bring hair styling implements, sunscreen and lotions. All the baby stuff is here, too. Best VBRO ever. We will be back!
Was a amazing experience
You can definitely tell the owner cares about your stay. They really thought of everything that you would need and things that you may not need but would definitely want. Like coffee, they have traditional old school coffee, Keurig and even french press with k-cups, coffee and even assortments of flavoring and half and halfs. The snacks were super thoughtful. The beds were good but the shower was another level of awesome. Easily the best shower I’ve used, it was like showering in a waternado. The outside was set up cool but you could tell it was old, I imagine it was pretty great when it was originally built but I imagine it’s hard to keep it great in the environment it’s in. Biggest issue was no cell service and the internet was only good for your basic streaming services. Also, this is very important to vacationers who aren’t familiar with the laws of the area so I’m putting it in all caps. LOCATED IN DRY COUNTY SURROUNDED BY DRY COUNTIES. Be sure to bring your own alcohol or drive a 2 hour roundtrip to your nearest beer store. If we had known we would have stopped on the way there. Last thing is definitely make the trip out to Peggy Sue’s place for breakfast/lunch. It doesn’t get much better than that. And that is coming from some very picky restaurant owners. We know good homecooked food and that was 5 star.
5 min drive to Dam Site Marina to rent a boat and hit the lake. Pool is fenced in, so great for the little kids. Playground with slide and swings on site. They have spartan mosquito traps up, so the mosquitoes were minimal. Overall, would do again.
Great house! Loved the shady areas where you can sit and watch kids in the pool!
This house is the best house I have rented on VRBO or any other site. It’s well stocked and well thought out. They have everything ready and anticipated all the needs a group might have! It’s super clean and nicely decorated. The outside area is the cherry on top. Highly recommend!
The area is gorgeous, home is very welcoming, with plenty of areas to entertain. Kids loved the pool with locks to ease our peace of mind when not using. The home was the most well stocked home we have ever rented. Sara was very sweet and answered all questions. Clean, spacious, and peaceful. Great memories made with our family, we will definitely return.
We enjoyed our stay the kids really enjoyed the pool. We had fun playing family feud grown-ups vs kids ?
It was the best stocked place we have ever been to on vacation! The host could not have been more polite & helpful!
This place was great! Plenty of room, comfortable beds, and most of all, great outdoor space including pool and hot tub! Maybe the best stocked rental home I’ve ever stayed in, saved us lots of money on the basics supplies. ??
2nd visit was even better since I knew what the house had and didn't feel the need to bring everything from home. Even though it rained all but 1 day of our trip we never got bored and actually didnt get a chance to try everything the house had. The only downside is I kept finding things I had to order because we enjoyed it so much there. If we had any vacation time left we would be booking a third trip for the year, but sadly it looks like I will have to wait until next year.
Such a great location and beautiful place. Everything you need. The kitchen is FULLY equipped.
Great place for what we needed!
This was a great find. It seems like they have thought of most things you would need. The directions to the cabin beforehandand the prpoerty book inside were very helpful.
Had the best time just hanging out with the work crew had a few meetings and just relaxing. The pool was a little dirty but it had stormed the night before , Other than that we had a great time .
Very nice. I wish the fire pit would have been working but other then that very much enjoyed our stay. The house is very comfortable and feels like you are home. Sara was great.
