NOTE FROM NAPA VALLEY VINTNERS' COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR
"Now that we have a clearer picture of what happened in Napa Valley, we are grateful and humbled to report that damage to the Napa Valley wine industry was not widespread," says Patsy McGaughy, communications director for Napa Valley Vintners, who adds that only a handful of vineyards (believed to be fewer than five) suffered significant losses, which is still five too many, but certainly not an entire region.
The Napa Valley is excited to welcome you back. The restaurants are cooking. The tasting rooms are pouring. There simply is no better way to help us recover than by enjoying our wines, dining in our restaurants, and visiting our legendary valley. So come experience the Napa Valley Spirit again."

We did have to purchase a few items bc the house was not well stocked- pan, cooking sheet and a few other items. Other than that, we had a great experience. Would love for the space to have an outdoor heater to enjoy the CA nights and would have been great to have a book that explains how to use everything like the dishwasher since it is restaurant grade. Would recommend this house!
The ice maker is broken. The patio fountain and lights do not work. The gas grill had mold growing in it. The pool, spa and outside living areas are nice but are in general need of maintenance. The dining table chairs are rickety. The kitchen appliances are filthy. There are cob webs everywhere. There is only one small TV with very basic channels on a funky stand awkwardly placed in the corner of the dining room. The bedrooms and bathrooms were very clean. The property layout is excellent with a nice view of the mountains and is about a 10 minute walk to downtown Calistoga. Street noise is vey loud.
Very Clean and big enough for the 7/7 that it is described as!
Good house, which is actually a B&B. Pool was not heated as advertised and there was a lack of paper products. When we got there house was in a black out, keep in mind when going there in hot weather.
Great location. Loved that each room had its own private bathroom. nice kitchen, great backyard and pool/hot tub area.
Our family of 14 had a good experience overall. It was off to a rough start when we arrived about 5 pm and it was plainly not ready. Beds unmade, trash unemptied, etc. But that got taken care of and we settled in for a nice weekend. There is more road noise than expected. But the space works well for a large group, the beds are comfortable, the housekeeping staff did a great job containing our mess every day, the pool and hot tub were a hit, and we loved that we could easily walk to town. Our recommendations are to add an electric tea kettle and cereal bowls to the copious kitchen paraphernalia.
The property worked perfect for our needs. Large party visiting wineries.
This is not a luxury home, but an old house that was converted to a bed and breakfast, and then rented out as a vacation home. It’s on a busy highway ,noisy and not in a neighborhood. The grounds are not well maintained. The pool is up a set of stairs, away from the house with posted signs saying no swimming with diarrhea and there is a $2000 fine for taking glass to the pool. The front porch faces the noisy highway and the all of the outdoor furniture is dated. The house interior has been partially updated, but still has his and hers signs on the bathroom doors and Chanric Inn information, exit signs, etc posted on the walls. The individual rooms are updated but there is no common room large enough for a family gathering. There is only one small TV in the entire house and it is in the breakfast area. The kitchen is dated and the ice maker was broken. The manager said it would be repaired the following day and it never was. There is an old massage room with broken massage tables and broken furniture in it on the main floor. There are three stories, 7 bedrooms, but only one zone of AC for the entire place so the bedrooms on the top floor are hot and the bottom floor bedrooms are cold. Nothing in this place fits the description of a luxury home. If you want to stay in a refitted bed and breakfast on a busy street, with no indoor gathering area, this is the place for you. Also important to note is the fact that when Home Away, Evolve Vacation Management and the owner were notified on the day of arrival of the miss representation and issues with the home, no action was taken. After many hours on the phone, I was reassured that each would follow up with me and none did. We have rented many homes all over the country and have never had a issue like this or a complaint in the past. We would not recommend this rental.
We stayed here with a group of 14 and had the best time. The setup was perfect. We loved the pool and hot tub and the ability to walk into town. Plus all rooms are pretty equal which was great. Would definitely recommend!
If you're looking to watch TV, this is not the place. Only one small TV in Kitchen area; no others. Otherwise it was perfect. Due to rain, didn't get to use pool or hot tub. Really great having the housekeeping done daily! Would stay here again.
