Luxury 4br, 4.5 Bath Galena Territory Rental With Hot Tub & Pool Table

Everything with the house was excellent for our family to enjoy. We appreciated the middle of the night snow removal. The owner called us to tell us the 2” snowfall would be taken care of, a very nice gesture.1

This house is as pictured. Reviews are spot on. The title of the property is a little misleading. This is not luxury, but the price is extremely fair for the property. Enjoyed it! While property was a little outdated, the photos did show that accurately, so I am surprised by previous reviews complaining about that specifically. Home has an amazing open area for people to gather in. Was perfect for a multi family holiday retreat. TV area seats only 8 if every spot on two couches and a love seat are occupied, keep that in mind. Cozy!Hand soap and shower gel in every bathroom, but that's it. Bring more if you need. Owner did tell me exactly what was at the house for us before we got there. No surprises. Immaculate home. Responsive owner.Owner does state that he wants to talk verbally to every renter prior to arrival. This wasn't convenient for me at all as I was already on vacation prior to arrival. I requested, but he didn't want to leave entry or other instructions in app messaging tool, text or email. I think that's fine with most people, my travel circumstances made it a little frustrating. Master toilet emptied very slowly. Made us nervous enough to not use after first flush, but plenty of other bathrooms. Lighting is minimal in and out of the home. There's lighting, but bulbs too dim in most rooms. If arriving after dark, heads up. Not much on the front of house for lighting. Wooded area. Dead bolt didn't work easily. Many windows in main area, but no drapes!

Fantastic space overall--perfect for a family gathering. The house was very clean and it was wonderful that every room had its own bathroom. However, the refrigerator and stove/oven are in poor condition, as well as the ice maker and water dispenser on the fridge. A review from Jul 2024 mentioned the same things and they are stilt not repaired/replaced. The house was advertised as sleeping 10, but there were beds for only 8. The overall vibe was just not focused on guest comfort and enjoyment of the space. Bring your own TP, tissues, soaps if you care about the quality of those things. Also be sure to bring your own condiments, ziplocks, foil, etc.

The owner , Jeff, was easy to get in contact with. He answered all our question and made our stay easy and enjoyable. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. I’ve stayed in a bunch of rentals and this one had all the little things that the others didn’t have. (Extra TP, garbage bags, etc.)There was a group of 8 of us and the house had more than enough room. When we come back to Galena , we are definitely staying at Jeff’s place!

Very nice home and suited our needs as extended family stay!! Beautiful area!A few things in kitchen I think would have been preferable for a stay!But overall would definitely recommend!!

Property was exactly like it looks in pictures. Plenty of room, clean. Definitely going back!

The check-in/ check-out process was very easy and straightforward. Hosts are easy to contact and were very helpful with any questions we had. Highly recommend!

We frequently travel to Galena and have stayed in this home two times. The owner's communication is great, the property is spacious and clean, and the neighborhood is very nice. We will return!

The house was clean but very outdated, old furniture an sparsely decorated, missing charm. Only one TV!!! Couldn't log on to Netflix because internet so SLOW. We had to watch, The Masked Singer for the 1st time!!!

We had a great time this weekend. The house is huge, fabulous and centrally located to Galena. Everything was very clean and the kitchen is beautifully appointed. We have a couple of suggestions that would make things even better: new sheets (the sheets in all rooms were worn and scratchy); a TV in the basement where people playing pool could have a sports game on in the background; a new coffee maker (this one took about a half-hour to brew a full pot of coffee).

Perfect home for a weekend away with friends. Each couple had their own bedroom and their own bathroom. Bedrooms were spaced out nicely. Main floor was spacious and completely open. Property owner called before our visit, he went over everything about the property and asked if we had any questions about the Galena area. He was happy to give restaurant recommendations or activity recommendations. Was an overall great experience.

We spent a girls weekend in Galena and this rental was perfect for us. Clean (which is most important), lots of space, and host was easily reachable. I’d recommend it. We’ll be back.

Very nice property with a lot of space. We had 8 adults and 4 small children in our group. Jim was very helpful and readily available.

The home was just what I expected, very clean and nicely designed. How was buried in the woods, surrounded by tall old trees (very scenic from all windows. Not much of a yard, as the trees are dense. Location is not far from the main road, so getting into Galena was a short ride. The owner was very friendly and easy to communicate with. I would definitely stay here again.

My friends and I(8 women over 50) go to Galena every summer. Same weekend for the past seven yrs. We have stayed in many different houses, This one checked all our boxes as far as requirements; screened porch, # bed/bath, etc. The FIRST issue and most serious is that the front door lacked a good lock, no dead bolt, no chain. The only lock was a door knob lock similar to one u would have for a bedroom door, Certainly not a secured front door lock. We did not feel safe while sleeping. Very unhappy about this point. All other issues have to do with the comfort of the home. It's obvious that this house is not ever used by the owner. No comforts what so ever:: -Chairs are hard w/ no pillows on kitchen or screened porch chairs. -No beach towels provided to use at pool or jacuzzi. - Fridge ice machine broken. Only provided 2 ice trays. -Limited toilet paper left to use. Only two rolls per bathroom. No Kleenex in any room. There were eight women staying there and it was not enough. - Not enough towels in each bathroom. They were low quality and VERY CHEAP TOWELS. -No toiletries available. Not a necessity but were always provided in other homes we've rented. The White Rain body soap/hand soap at sinks are cheap dollar store products. -No left over foils/spices/ baggies from previous guest. -Ants all over bedroom sinks. To summarize the house/landscape was beautiful. FRONT DOOR LOCK MUST BE FIXED. It needs some TLC and love. Just very cold and not very homey.

We hosted a small (15 people) family reunion. It was a great location for the local people while others chose to fly or make the drive. The kitchen was more than adequately equipped, the common area was perfect for interacting with family without feeling crowded. It was great to have a screened in porch but also the open deck. I wouldn't hesitate to book again when staying in this area.

Our two night stay was perfect and working with the owner was such a pleasure. Would stay here or on another property again!
