DOWNSTAIRS BEDROOMS 45 DEGREES WITH NO HEAT (PORTABLE HEATERS WOULD WORK FOR 20 MIN AND TURN OFF). MY GIRLFRIEND AND I HAD TO SLEEP ON COUCHS IN LIVING ROOM UPSTAIRS WHERE THERE WAS HEAT. NO TRASH CAN IN KITCHEN NOR CLEAN SPONGES FOR DISHES. DOWNSTAIRS MAIN BEDROOM BED WAS NOT MADE FROM PREVIOUS RENTERS..HAD TO WASH SHEETS FIRST DAY. PLACE WAS FAIRLY CLEAN BUT NOT VERY CLEAN. ALSO, ONLY 2 TOWELS AVAILABLE FOR SHOWERING. I HAD MY GF WITH ME AND ADDITIONAL 4 GUESTS COMING ON THE 3RD NIGHT OF 6 NIGHTS. DUE TO NO HEAT I CANCELLED MY OTHER FRIENDS VISIT AND TOLD THEM NOT TO COME AS THERE IS NO HEAT AVAILABLE IN BEDROOMS DOWNSTAIRS. I WAS SUPPOSED TO STAY FROM DEC 12-19TH, HOWEVER DUE TO MY OTHER FRIENDS HAVING TO CANCEL DUE TO NO HEAT AVAILABLE, I DID NOT STAY THE LAST TWO NIGHTS AND CHECKED OUT ON SATURDAY AT 10AM. I WAS SUPPOSED TO CHECK OUT ON TUESDAY AT 10AM. I CONTACTED VRBO ON FRIDAY WHEN I CHECKED OUT TO GET SOME COMPENSATION FOR THE TWO NIGHTS I DID NOT STAY. I WAS TOLD THAT VRBO DID CONTACT THE ONSITE MANAGER AND THEY WERE NOT INTERESTED IN ANY REFUNDS. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS UNIT FOR RENTAL AND HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED IN BOTH VRBO AS WELL AS ONSITE MANAGER RESPONSE TO MY PARTIAL REFUND REQUEST.
We stayed at this place for two separate 3 and 4 night stays over a 2 week period in September 23. Home was clean, nice fenced yard for dog , and well appointed kitchen. Location was great, short 5 minute walk to Garwoods and other eating establishments. Road noise was not bad, recommend backing in for easier exit onto N Lake blvd.
We had a great stay in Carnelian Bay. The house is right on the main road, so it's very convenient to Waterman's Landing and public beach access (dogs allowed!). There is some road noise as a result, but we knew this going in and didn't have any trouble sleeping - the convenience of being able to walk to beach, dinner/drinks, and coffee were paramount for us. Fully fenced back yard great for a dog. Nice furniture and amenities upstairs in living area and kitchen with peekaboo views of the lake from the deck. We had a great stay!
Hut tub and location. I wish you guys give us a discount for the next time because will be or 3er time rented this house.
The home was the perfect size for our family of 4. It’s central location to the north shore of Tahoe made it very easy to explore by day and relax in comfort by night
Amazing hot tub, really nice roomy place. Highly recommend!
Everything about this vacation home was perfect: location, cleanliness, and value for money. House has lots of amenities. Would highly recommend for anyone visiting Tahoe.
This house is in an excellent location and is sparkling clean. Very well appointed as far a furniture, layout etc. The hot tub is a high quality one and has a decent view of Lake Tahoe. The beds are so-so (slept in better but have slept in worse). Nice large bathroom downstairs, however this is the only one with a shower/tub. That could be a problem for bigger groups. Having two living areas though is good for big groups. This house would be tough for an older couple or anyone with injuries or disabilities since there isn't even one bedroom and bathing area on the upper floor where kitchen is. They would have to make multiple trips up and down stairs throughout the day. Downstairs stayed pretty cold but the gas fireplace upstairs was very nice and heats the upper area very efficiently. There was one exception to the cleanliness. The quilt in the smaller bedroom downstairs had blood (which didn't look to have been washed) on it in two places. This quilt needs replacing. Our only other disappointment was how the house was stocked with convenience items. No filters or creamer for coffee was very inconvenient. We flew here as I'm sure many people do and can't pack all those sorts of things. All other vacation homes we have stayed in have coffee needs provided. The departure instructions asked us to start a load of towels but there was no detergent in the laundry room. With more attention to providing basic convenience items, this home would have been closer to perfect.
The house was okay, but going to the cleaness of the house it wasn’t the best. The couch on the second floor was very dirty and smelled. The floors weren’t clean, but none of that was an impediment to not enjoy the house.
This was a lovely home. It had a well stocked kitchen, and we loved the working fireplace.
Great weekend spot. Be ready for a few stairs but the views were worth it. Well appointed and the fenced yard was ideal for our two-year-old labrador. The only thing we missed was a book with info with TV instructions, and local dining suggestions but we figured it out. We'll be back!
Spacious and open upstairs with a peak of the lake and hot tub on the deck
Many other places to choose from for the price. Cloth couches dirty with body oils and other stains, kitchen cabinets greasy, ad states tv for movie watching downstairs living room and no AC- no tv, was on its side out in the garage, does have AC- preset and not adjustable for renter i guess, downstairs is freezing main living area hot and stuffy could use some fans for sure. Great location beds comfortable. Not worth the money
We enjoyed our stay. House was spacious and clean.
The deck and hot tub was a plus. Walking distance to the lake . Use the TART to get to Kings Beach so you don’t have to worry about traffic or parking
