Luxurious house, sea view, swimming pool, sauna close to the best beaches and Rua das Pedras.

We have been at house for 5 days and have stayed in this amazing apartment/ house. It is a huge property on two floors with a very beautiful view. Perfect location, very quite area and just 3-5 min away by car to city center. A big thank you to the very friendly owner, who was available for any questions at any time! You can just love this apartment - I give all possible stars and more.

Our family spent a week at Alcides property in April and had a wonderful time. The views are stunning, the pool is cool and refreshing and there was plenty of space for our oversized group to spread out (6 people- my husband and myself our son, my husband's mother, sister and nephew). We enjoyed cooking meals together in the kitchen and on the BBQ, and found the open concept space perfect for enjoying each other's company. It's worth mentioning that the house is situated at the top of a very steep hill. This makes for stunning views and hairy driving. Ascending/ descending the driveway in a car was outside my normal level of comfort - but thankfully my Brazilian husband and the taxi cabs were not bothered by it and we got up and down the hill without any issues. If it weren't for the hill, I'd say a car is not necessary- but it really did make things easier having one. Since I can't drive a stick and my husband likes to sleep in- I enjoyed walking to nearby shops and bakeries in the morning. I was very pleased with the number of places that we could actually walk to from the house- and with the amount of English spoken in Buzios (which seemed like much more than most places in Brazil!!) I have a feeling this next comment is not so specific to this house- but rather to Buzios in general... On nights when there was a breeze- the house was perfection. But- on nights when the wind wasn't blowing- there were some very serious mosquitos!! Next time I will pack more bug spray and maybe mosquito nets. Overall a wonderful stay at a wonderful property. I miss waking up to those views and look very much forward to coming back again!

My husband and I spent a week at this house in November and had a wonderful time. The owner was extremely helpful and provided a good orientation to the town. We had use of the main floor with the kitchen, sauna, and pool. Everything was very well maintained. We enjoyed our week in Buzios much more than if we had stayed at a pousada or hotel. From the house we enjoyed walking to several beaches and the town center. Some of the best aspects of staying here were the private parking and the view, the easy access to the town, and the sea breeze. We slept very well because the house is far from any traffic or noise. The owner also works with boat tours and can arrange them for guests. I recommend this home for anyone who wants to visit Buzios and enjoy the town while also having some privacy and peace and quiet. This place is appropriate for couples, families with children, or friends traveling together. It is safe, clean, and comfortable; we look forward to returning!
